Interestingly, the center\u2019s Instagram page has not been updated yet.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wex-ad-wrap\" style=\"min-height:5px;\"><span class=\"wex-ad-label\" style=\"display:none;\">Advertisement<\/span><\/p>\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-3182201-15\" data-wex-ad=\"art-dsk-inart-1\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An activist organization called Hands Off the Arts has a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BslwLBRuvgE\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BslwLBRuvgE\">YouTube livestream<\/a> for those who wish to watch the removal of Trump\u2019s name from the Kennedy Center\u2019s nameplate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In his 14-day ruling, Cooper concluded that the addition of Trump\u2019s name was made unlawfully because it circumvented <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/congress\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"31\">Congress<\/a>, which named the center through federal law following the 1963 assassination of President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/john-f-kennedy\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"4031\">John F. Kennedy<\/a>. Trump\u2019s handpicked trustee board approved the name change last year instead. The judge ultimately sided with Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH), the plaintiff who filed the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cooper also blocked the planned two-year renovation that would have closed the Kennedy Center to the public starting July 5.
