The court allowed the tariffs to remain in place through July for all other importers not involved in the litigation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That ruling marked another setback for the federal government after the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/supreme-court\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"203\">Supreme Court<\/a> struck down Trump\u2019s \u201cLiberation Day\u201d tariffs.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In February, the high court <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court\/4409863\/supreme-court-strikes-down-trumps-sweeping-liberation-day-tariffs\/\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court\/4409863\/supreme-court-strikes-down-trumps-sweeping-liberation-day-tariffs\/\">deemed<\/a> tariffs enacted under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act to be illegal.
