The New York Times (NYT) article does not describe the attack until four paragraphs in, and does not use the word \u201cbeheading\u201d once. The article also buries information about the suspect, including the fact that he was a Sudanese who may have fraudulently claimed refugee status, in the eleventh paragraph.<\/p>\n<p>The NYT decided this story was less about why the perpetrator of this brutal attack was in Northern Ireland, and more about the response of the \u201cfar-right,\u201d a group in which the outlet places Elon Musk, who infamously has children with multiple women and supports transhumanism. To the New York Times, the story is that some people took notice of violent crime by criminal aliens. It\u2019s the classic \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/media\/republicans-pounce-china-balloon\/\">Republicans pounce<\/a>\u201d trope that blames the people who notice the negative effects of leftist policies rather than blaming the policies.<\/p>\n<p>According to the NYT, \u201cfar-right\u201d figures \u201cspread misinformation and speculation about the attacker online.\u201d Unsurprisingly, the outlet does not elaborate what this misinformation entails.<\/p>\n<p>A Sudanese <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/bystanders-hailed-heroic-after-intervening-brutal-knife-attack-sudanese-migrant-uk\">migrant<\/a> was able to enter the United Kingdom, claim asylum, and stay in the country long enough to allegedly attempt to behead a native-born citizen. \u201cThe right\u201d doesn\u2019t need to invent this story. The facts speak for themselves.<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>BREAKING:<\/p>\n<p>The asylum seeker who sparked huge riots in Belfast by trying to behead a local has been named as Hadi Alodid.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s from Khartoum in Sudan. The city is currently under control of the Muslim Brotherhood-allied Sudanese Armed Forces. Beheadings are an Islamist specialty <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6CmI4gpgAt\">pic.twitter.com\/6CmI4gpgAt<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u2014 Visegr\u00e1d 24 (@visegrad24) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/visegrad24\/status\/2064669170491441650?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 10, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The NYT also used plenty of euphemistic language to describe the attack. Instead of describing it as an attempted beheading, the outlet stated: \u201cthe attacker moves his hands near the neck of the victim.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A local resident who witnessed the attack <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/cdejnjdg08eo?at_medium=social&#038;at_link_type=web_link&#038;at_bbc_team=editorial&#038;at_campaign=Social_Flow&#038;at_format=video&#038;at_ptr_name=facebook_page&#038;at_link_id=E2ABD08C-641C-11F1-A9D7-8CAA3019B464&#038;at_link_origin=BBC_News_NI&#038;at_campaign_type=owned&#038;fbclid=IwY2xjawSXmyNleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETJEMzM4cEVwSjZlTHNHNFJzc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHpIe65BsaPRHs-24VROACIVLVsRGlGOumTqFoj7Abt3ZJSwOBQeGezw7Px8K_aem_0aKGYWfYp9UjaUo21VDBOg\">described<\/a> her experience quite differently, saying she had \u201cnever seen anything like it.\u201d The woman told BBC News NI that she was \u201cshaking in the street\u201d while calling police, and that she is now afraid to walk to the store alone. Her reaction is understandable for someone who witnessed a gruesome murder attempt \u2014 which is not merely some sort of nondescript hand motion.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than show concern for the victims and bystanders of such violent crimes, the Times focuses more on the worries of immigrants: \u201cImmigrant communities in Northern Ireland said they were living in fear.\u201d Never mind the fear of native citizens who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/news\/2025\/12\/13\/is-british-civilisation-really-being-erased\/\">don\u2019t recognize<\/a> their own country anymore and are banned from noticing that it\u2019s not the native-born who are most likely to commit these kinds of barbaric crimes.<\/p>\n<p>The Times alleged\u201drising xenophobic anger\u201d in Britain due to a rash of similar recent attacks, including the murder of 18-year-old <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/06\/03\/henry-nowaks-murder-is-the-logical-conclusion-of-black-lives-matter\/\">Henry Nowak<\/a> by a Sikh man. Body camera footage of Nowak\u2019s final moments shows him being <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/06\/04\/britains-censorship-regime-was-always-going-to-get-people-like-henry-nowak-killed\/\">handcuffed<\/a> after police found him bleeding on the ground. His \u201ccrime\u201d? His murderer had accused him of racism.<\/p>\n<p>Rising anger in the United Kingdom doesn\u2019t exist in a vacuum. The country has seen mass third-world migration in recent years, with serious negative consequences for native citizens. Most migrants to the United Kingdom are from <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/11\/12\/its-impossible-to-keep-up-with-the-fall-of-britain\/\">countries<\/a> such as Afghanistan, Sudan, and Somalia \u2014 all societies that hold values incompatible with Western civilization.<\/p>\n<p>Gangs of Pakistani Muslims <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/10\/u-k-grooming-gangs-scandal-could-happen-in-the-u-s-thanks-to-leftist-justice-system\/\">groomed<\/a> and raped English girls for decades. In response, the Times went after Musk for \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/01\/07\/world\/europe\/uk-grooming-gangs-elon-musk.html?eafs_enabled=false&#038;register=email&#038;auth=register-email\">vitriolic<\/a>\u201d posts criticizing the British government\u2019s role in enabling these grooming gangs. The British ruling class was <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/08\/27\/civil-war-is-coming-to-britain\/\">reluctant<\/a> to take action against these gangs that were terrorizing citizens under their noses for years. But Musk is the real problem. <\/p>\n<p>Some protestors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c982y5n0nlno\">attacked<\/a> police and started fires after the attack on Ogilvy. In 2020, however, the NYT strongly supported the Black Lives Matter (BLM) riots across the West in 2020, which damaged thousands of buildings and caused several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2020\/oct\/31\/americans-killed-protests-political-unrest-acled\">deaths<\/a>. The outlet called the protestors in Belfast \u201cfar-right radicals,\u201d but called BLM protestors \u201cpeaceful protestors with \u2018room for rage.&#8217;\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Other NYT <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/06\/11\/world\/europe\/northern-ireland-stabbing-immigration.html?searchResultPosition=5\">articles<\/a> also focused more on the right-wing response than the vicious attack: \u201cThe cycle of violence and right-wing agitation in Britain has become all too frightening and frequent,\u201d is how Chief U.K. Correspondent Michael Shear begins an article. The majority of the outlet\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2026\/06\/10\/world\/europe\/belfast-attack-riots-northern-ireland.html?eafs_enabled=false\">coverage<\/a> highlights the angry citizen response to the violence their government has unleashed on their streets while downplaying the migration crisis.<\/p>\n<p>The New York Times is far from the only outlet to make this story about the protests rather than the attack. The Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2026\/06\/10\/belfast-riots-mayhem-follow-alleged-stabbing-by-sudanese-asylum-seeker\/\">said<\/a> there was a \u201cnew wave of anti-immigrant violence\u201d hitting the United Kingdom, and the CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/06\/10\/us\/video\/anti-immigration-violence-erupts-over-northern-ireland-knife-attack-cnc\">called<\/a> the riots \u201cfiery.\u201d No <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/cnn-panned-for-on-air-graphic-reading-fiery-but-mostly-peaceful-protest-in-front-of-kenosha-fire\">\u201cmostly peaceful\u201d<\/a> caveat to be found. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>   Skye Graham is an intern at The Federalist.
