Self-defense was pretty much off the table once witnesses began taking the stand in his murder case. So was the idea that he was provoked. And each one of his shifting stories was basically put to rest by testimony and evidence, as well.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, it was hardly a surprise that the now-19-year-old Anthony was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-jury-delivers-verdict-karmelo-anthony-trial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">convicted of murder<\/a> for the stabbing at a 2025 Frisco, Texas high school track meet after less than three hours of deliberations on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>He was 17 at the time the murder was committed, so he won\u2019t face the death penalty. He was sentenced, however, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-karmelo-anthony-prison-sentence-announced-roughly-4-hours-guilty-verdict-read\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">35 years behind bars<\/a>, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcdfw.com\/news\/local\/closing-arguments-expected-tuesday-in-karmelo-anthonys-murder-trial\/4033724\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KXAS-TV<\/a> reporting that the jury rejected a \u201csudden passion\u201d argument from his defense team.<\/p>\n<p>And, indeed, this man had no reasonable defense from his corner. The best that anyone could muster was that Anthony was black and Metcalf was white, although there was no evidence that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/6-year-old-accused-of-sexual-misconduct-school-calls-police-mother-alleges-racism\/\" title=\"6-Year-Old Accused Of Sexual Misconduct, School Calls Police. Mother Alleges Racism.\">race played<\/a> any role in \u201ctriggering\u201d Anthony or in the police and prosecution targeting him.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, but count on lame-duck <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-jasmine-crockett-claims-one-powerful-people-country-slams-not-level\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas<\/a> to take that argument to its absurd extreme. Crockett, who lost out on the Democratic nomination for Senate (something she implied had to do with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/crockett-implies-tx-dem-election-chaos-dallas-secretly-racist-think-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conspiratorial machinations<\/a> based on race) has no actual reason to hold back now. And holding back she isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, here she is saying that while the trauma Austin Metcalf\u2019s family must feel is bad, the real victims here are \u2014 and here indeed is a plot twist \u2014 black women.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBlack women \u2014 especially black women who have <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >black male children \u2014 live<\/a> in fear every single day,\u201d Crockett said on her TikTok account Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA fear and an agony that, I promise you, the Metcalfs probably never spend [sic] a day living that way.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Rep. Crockett: \u201cBlack women live in agony every day that I promise the Metcalfs had never lived through\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/GVielzMf51\">pic.twitter.com\/GVielzMf51<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EndWokeness\/status\/2064549059273146821?\">June 10, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s almost like the old joke regarding The New York Times\u2019 headline about Armageddon: \u201cWorld to End; Women, Minorities Hardest Hit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhite kid murdered, black mothers hardest hit.\u201d Let\u2019s also not forget who kills the majority of young black men \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/powerful-mayor-turns-blm-thought-black-lives-mattered\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">other young black men<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Crockett also went on to say that, in the situation, she would have stabbed Metcalf herself:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D) suggests that she also would have stabbed Austin Metcalf: <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/TBn3txFSAi\">pic.twitter.com\/TBn3txFSAi<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EndWokeness\/status\/2064535366397313205?\">June 10, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.x.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf a 300-pound man is beating me, like on top of me and beating me down, I\u2019m not limited to fist,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy the time you start getting to, like, football player\u201d \u2014 which Metcalf was \u2014 there is a \u201cgood argument\u201d that fists are deadly weapons, Crockett said.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, every version of this story, from video to witnesses, states that this transpired the other way around \u2014 Metcalf was attacked by Anthony completely unprovoked \u2014 but why let facts get in the way?<\/p>\n<p>Why we should care about this is obvious: Crockett is a silly caricature but not as dumb a woman as we like to think she is, and she adopts the silly caricature because it works with dumb lefties.<\/p>\n<p>She came closer to a Senate nomination in a major American state than she had any right to get, even if she did lose to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/seem-creepy-youtube-editor-syncs-james-talarico-clips-finds-something-remarkable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">James Talarico<\/a>, who (in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/apostasy-talarico-pastors-perverted-christianity-calling-god-violent-st-paul-creep-marys-myth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">spite of his myriad flaws<\/a>) actually does seem to take this seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the fact that she didn\u2019t have much seniority in the House and her seat has been drawn out of existence by the state, you probably know her name.<\/p>\n<p>And now, she\u2019s indicating that she\u2019s not going to exit stage far left gracefully by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-clashes-flare-outside-courthouse-karmelo-anthony-found-guilty\/\">stoking racial tensions<\/a> in the Karmelo Anthony case.
