Topper shutt (WUSA 9) expects no major problems, saying a shower or storm can\u2019t be ruled out but won\u2019t likely be a factor and that temperatures won\u2019t be extreme. Fox 5\u2019s Mike Thomas agrees there\u2019s no sign of sweeping thunderstorms, suggesting any storm activity woudl likely come later-possibly after midnight-and would be isolated. He estimates about a 30% chance of a pop-up storm affecting the event and believes the bigger risk for fighters is heat and heat exhaustion, with temperatures potentially in the mid-90s.<\/p>\n<p>Both note forecasts are less reliable this far out, especially because Washington can produce very small \u201cmicroscale\u201d thunderstorms that affect only a limited area. The Whether Channel currently shows a 50% chance of precipitation that night. The Weather Channel <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/weather.com\/us\/district-of-columbia\/city\/washington\/tenday\">currently predicts<\/a> a 50% chance of precipitation the night of the fight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Popular podcaster and fellow UFC commentator Joe Rogan<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=thSxp05HuDQ\"> <\/a>previously <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=thSxp05HuDQ\">raised concerns<\/a> that the outdoor event could be plagued by bad weather. He also expressed worries about the high level of security required to host the event, which will be broadcast on CBS and livestreamed on Paramount+. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWhat kind of f***ing security are they going to have for this? It\u2019s like all the security and the protocols, all that extra s*** in your mind before you have to go out there and fight,\u201d he said. \u201cWhat if it\u2019s hot and muggy?
