At one point, Nowak pleaded, \u201cI\u2019ve been stabbed,\u201d to which the officer responded, \u201cI don\u2019t think you have, mate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He repeatedly told officers he couldn\u2019t breathe, but the police disregarded him. Nowak was handcuffed and read his rights, at which point he lost consciousness.
