Puts Women At Risk Of Harm, Abuse\">abortion pill poisonings<\/a>\u201d across the United States. The association says it has identified 15 states where women were reportedly tricked into taking abortion drugs without their knowledge or consent.<\/p>\n<p>The tracker-hosted by Heartbeat International\u2019s Pregnancy Help News-was created after the group observed increased calls to its Abortion Pill Rescue Network from women who regretted taking the pill, and also reports suggesting coercion or forced drugging. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wis-voter-id-loophole-raises-renewed-concerns\/\" title=\"WI&#039;s Voter ID &#039;Loophole&#039; Raises Renewed Concerns\">article cites examples<\/a> of alleged tampering in Kentucky and texas, and argues that the reported cases likely represent only a small portion of what is occurring.<\/p>\n<p>It also notes that mifepristone (the abortion pill) is widely used but can involve serious complications, and highlights \u201cabortion pill reversal\u201d (APR) efforts supported by Heartbeat International and other organizations. So far, the organization has identified 15 states where women have reportedly been tricked into taking abortion drugs without their knowledge or consent.<\/p>\n<p>Pregnancy Help News, Heartbeat International\u2019s news website, is hosting the tracker, which \u201cprovides a centralized resource for journalists, policymakers, pregnancy help organizations, and members of the public\u201d who want to \u201cunderstand the growing number of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >reported incidents involving abortion drugs<\/a> being used without a woman\u2019s knowledge or consent,\u201d according to a press release.<\/p>\n<div id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1379997826\" class=\"d-flex justify-content-center fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 fdrlst__b89e9-entity-placement\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Heartbeat International developed the project after noticing an increased number of calls to its Abortion Pill Rescue Network (APRN) from women who regret taking the abortion pill. In addition, APRN staff also noticed a troubling pattern of women being drugged or forced to take abortion drugs without their consent, the press release said.<\/p>\n<p>The most recent publicly available instance of this happening was in Glasgow, Kentucky, on May 25, when a woman <a href=\"https:\/\/fox56news.com\/news\/kentucky\/bowling-green-man-accused-of-replacing-pregnant-girlfriends-medication-to-kill-unborn-child\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alleged<\/a> \u201cthat her boyfriend replaced her medication with abortion drugs.\u201d Troopers with the Kentucky State Police arrested the man, Abdullah Mohmand, and he was charged with attempted fetal homicide.<\/p>\n<p>In another case, a Texas man was <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/02\/26\/another-tx-man-charged-after-allegedly-murdering-his-unborn-baby-with-abortion-pill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">charged<\/a> with aggravated assault after allegedly secretly slipping the mother of his child an abortion pill. A majority of abortions \u2014 nearly <a href=\"https:\/\/lozierinstitute.org\/hidden-epidemic-nearly-70-of-abortions-are-coerced-unwanted-or-inconsistent-with-womens-preferences\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">70 percent<\/a> \u2014 are coerced or unwanted or \u201cinconsistent with women\u2019s preferences,\u201d according to the Charlotte Lozier Institute.<\/p>\n<p>Heartbeat International\u2019s tracker only tracks publicly reported cases, which Vice President of Communications and Marketing Andrea Trudden said is likely \u201conly a fraction of what is actually occurring.\u201d This tracker aims to \u201cilluminate patterns that might otherwise go unnoticed,\u201d Trudden said.<\/p>\n<p>Although the abortion pill, otherwise known as mifepristone, is the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/womens-health-policy\/key-facts-on-abortion-in-the-united-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">most widely used<\/a> method of abortion in the United States, studies suggest the pill comes with serious side effects. A <a href=\"https:\/\/eppc.org\/publication\/insurance-data-reveals-one-in-ten-patients-experiences-a-serious-adverse-event\/\">s<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/eppc.org\/publication\/insurance-data-reveals-one-in-ten-patients-experiences-a-serious-adverse-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">t<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/eppc.org\/publication\/insurance-data-reveals-one-in-ten-patients-experiences-a-serious-adverse-event\/\">udy<\/a> by the Ethics and Public Policy Center found that nearly 11 percent of chemical abortions have complications. In a 7-2 decision earlier this year, the Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/05\/15\/women-babies-at-risk-after-scotus-authorizes-mail-order-abortion-for-now\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allowed<\/a> mail-order abortions to continue while litigation in the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals is ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Heartbeat International, along with various pregnancy resource centers and pro-life organizations, helps provide <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/04\/17\/letitia-james-crusade-against-abortion-pill-reversal-is-also-killing-free-speech\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">abortion pill reversal<\/a> (APR) for women who regret their decision or who were forced to take the pill. APR is a safe way for these women to improve the chances of their baby surviving. Heartbeat International statistics show that more than 8,000 babies have been saved because of this technology.<\/p>\n<p>Elizabeth Barrett, a California woman who took the abortion pill, was able to reverse her decision using APR. \u201cI chose to take the abortion pill, and immediately, I regretted it,\u201d Barrett said in a Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/chose-abortion-changed-mind-california-wants-choice-gone\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">article<\/a>. After frantically searching online, Barrett found APR. Her baby daughter survived, and Elizabeth called her decision to keep the baby \u201cthe best decision of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the vast <a href=\"https:\/\/pregnancyhelpnews.com\/news\/tracker-abortion-poisonings\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">majority<\/a> of cases reported by Heartbeat International\u2019s tracker, the babies do not end up surviving.<\/p>\n<p>Those who know of a public case of abortion pill poisoning can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pregnancyhelpnews.com\/about-us\/leave-a-tip\">r<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pregnancyhelpnews.com\/about-us\/leave-a-tip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">e<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pregnancyhelpnews.com\/about-us\/leave-a-tip\">port<\/a> it to Pregnancy Help News to get the case added to the tracker, which will be updated with additional information as it becomes available.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Skye Graham is an intern at The Federalist.
