The event is expected to replace the concert that was originally planned as part of the America 250 festivities around the Great American State Fair.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said performer cancellations led him to change plans, taking aim at what he called \u201csingers with no talent, but big fees.\u201d He also described the rally as featuring music and speakers, aiming to keep the lineup focused on acts he says the public has enjoyed for years.<\/p>\n<p>New performers announced include country singer Lee Greenwood and Italian-American tenor Christopher Macchio, along with multiple military bands. The rally will take place the night before the Great American State Fair, scheduled for June 25 to July 10 on the National Mall. He teased the event as the \u201crally to end all rallies.\u201d The rally is believed to be the replacement for the Great American State Fair concert that was to be part of the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/america-250\/\">America 250<\/a> festivities. After a lineup of performers was announced on May 27, most of the musicians dropped out of the event or claimed they never agreed to perform. It was to feature a concert with nine performers, most of whom were known primarily for their hits in the 1980s and 1990s. The list included The Commodores, C+C Music Factory, the surviving member of Milli Vanilli, Vanilla Ice, Young MC, Bret Michaels, Morris Day and the Time, Flo Rida, and Martina McBride. Of that group, only Flo Rida and McBride had major hits this century.
