The IAEA notes that, even with Tehran\u2019s objections, Iran\u2019s obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) still apply and that none of this can be paused or suspended.<\/p>\n<p>In a report discussed ahead of a meeting of the IAEA\u2019s board of governors, the agency warns it has lost verification access to Iran\u2019s previously declared supplies of highly enriched and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-admin-to-restart-indirect-nuclear-talks-with-iran-wants-return-to-2015-agreement\/\" title=\"Biden Admin To Restart \u2018Indirect\u2019 ... It also highlights risks from \u201closs of continuity of knowledge\u201d at facilities damaged during U.S. and Israeli strikes in 2025 and presses for urgent action to address it.<\/p>\n<p>Iran argues that normal safeguards inspections are no longer feasible and says sites the IAEA wanted to visit-such as the Isfahan enrichment-related area-were affected by \u201cillegal military attacks.\u201d The IAEA says it remains prepared to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >conduct long-delayed inspections<\/a>, either at affected facilities or at choice locations arranged by Iranian authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The dispute comes as the IAEA continues an unresolved investigation into Iran\u2019s past nuclear activities, launched in 2018, due to Iran\u2019s lack of credible explanations for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/whats-the-deal-with-the-iran-nuclear-deal\/\" title=\"What\u2019s the deal with the Iran ... deal?\">uranium particles found<\/a> at undeclared locations. The last report was issued just days before the February U.S.-Israeli strikes on Iran.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe Director General has emphasized to Iran that it is indispensable and urgent to implement effectively the NPT Safeguards Agreement \u2026 and that its implementation cannot be suspended by Iran under any circumstances,\u201d the agency said in a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/middle-east\/first-iaea-report-irans-nuclear-programme-since-february-shows-little-change-2026-06-04\/\">report<\/a> obtained by <em>Reuters<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The warning comes after President<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"4\"> Donald Trump<\/a> and Israeli Prime Minister <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/benjamin-netanyahu\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"378\">Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a> repeatedly cited dismantling Iran\u2019s nuclear program as a central objective of the war in Iran. Following U.S. bombing raids on several Iranian nuclear facilities in June 2025, Iran enacted a law suspending cooperation with the IAEA.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since then, the agency says it has lost visibility into key parts of Iran\u2019s nuclear activities. \u201cThe Agency\u2019s lack of access to verify the previously declared HEU and LEU, for nearly a year \u2026 is a matter of proliferation concern and of compliance with the NPT Safeguards Agreement,\u201d the report said, referring to highly enriched and low-enriched uranium stockpiles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The IAEA also warned its \u201closs of continuity of knowledge\u201d regarding nuclear material at facilities damaged in the U.S. and Israeli strikes \u201cneeds to be addressed with the utmost urgency.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Iran has argued normal safeguards inspections are no longer feasible.
