It highlights a series of confrontations featuring Trump’s Cabinet officials-especially Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Secretary of State Marco Rubio-as examples of this shift.

In the Senate Finance Committee, the piece depicts Bessent pushing back sharply on Sen. The author presents the exchange as a case where Bessent challenged Wyden to address specific facts, while Wyden’s replies are portrayed as evasive and insulting.

The article also describes rubio’s House Foreign Affairs testimony as confrontational. It claims democrats repeatedly interrupted or refused to let Rubio finish answers-most notably Rep. Sydney Kamlager-Dove,who the text portrays as cutting him off, shouting, and ultimately being mocked. Similar “reclaim my time” disputes with other Democrats (including Rep.
