Tulsi Gabbard, the outgoing Director of National Intelligence, posted on X Thursday too thank people who have been praying for her husband, Abraham, after his cancer diagnosis. She said she and her family were heading to the hospital for his surgery and expressed gratitude for the \u201caloha\u201d and well-wishes she has received, including in a video message.<\/p>\n

The posts came the same day President Donald Trump announced Gabbard\u2019s replacement. Trump selected William Pulte,currently director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency and chairman of Fannie Mae\/Freddie Mac,to serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence while keeping his existing roles.<\/p>\n

Gabbard previously announced she would resign effective June 30, 2026, explaining that her husband has an extremely rare form<\/a><\/a> of bone cancer and that she needed to step away from public service to support him. <\/p>\n
