Digwa is a member of the Sikh religion, a faith with roots in northern India that requires its male members to be armed with a knife at all times.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/uk-cops-handcuffed-dying-stabbing-victim-racially-insulting-sikh-allegedly-stabbed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">two men crossed paths<\/a> Dec. 5, when Nowak was walking home alone after a night out.<\/p>\n<p>A confrontation occurred that was partially recorded on Nowak\u2019s phone (which was found in <em>Digwa\u2019s<\/em> pocket), and Digwa stabbed the victim repeatedly.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived, Digwa claimed that Nowak was the assailant, and officers actually placed the dying young man under arrest.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHenry was pulled across the gravel, his hands forced behind his back, and he was placed in handcuffs,\u201d Mark Nowak said (about 1:48 in the video above). \u201cInstead of being treated as a dying victim, police formally arrested Henry for assault and read him his rights.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was the last thing he heard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>BBC\u2019s report backs up Nowak\u2019s description:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBodycam footage released by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary, with the family\u2019s permission, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/memphis-pd-releases-video-of-tyre-nichols-traffic-stop-that-led-to-murder-charges-against-officers\/\" title=\"Memphis PD Releases Video of Tyre Nichols Traffic Stop That Led to Murder Charges Against ...\">shows officers arriving<\/a> at the scene and speaking to Digwa and others.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNowak, who is seen on the ground in the video, can be heard saying \u2018I\u2019ve been stabbed\u2019 and \u2018I can\u2019t breathe\u2019 multiple times.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe footage shows officers turning Nowak onto his side and handcuffing his hands behind his back.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nowak\u2019s death has attracted international attention and outrage, with many critics <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/libsoftiktok\/status\/2057184728772391026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">contrasting the silence<\/a> of the global establishment media on the case with the intense coverage of the George Floyd death in Minneapolis in 2020.
