White praised the event as historic but noted concerns about outdoor conditions-especially rain, lightning, heat, insects, and other variables-while describing the construction of a temporary stage meant to accommodate spectators.<\/p>\n<p>Rogan was even more direct, arguing that championship fights should happen in a controlled, air-conditioned arena. He warned that extreme summertime temperatures in Washington, D.C., along with dehydration and pests could affect fighter safety and performance, potentially even deciding results. He suggested organizers do at least build a roof over the venue.<\/p>\n<p>The event is being driven by Freedom 250, Trump\u2019s party group, and will feature a seven-fight card headlined by Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje for the lightweight title and Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-ufc-fight-logistics-a-lot-fighter-michael-chandler-warns\/\" title=\"Trump ... logistics &#039;a lot,&#039; ...er Michael Chandler warns\">interim heavyweight championship<\/a>. Rogan is friendly with White and Trump and has been affiliated with UFC for years, serving as a commentator. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI don\u2019t like the idea of fighting outside at all,\u201d Rogan said, raising fears about likely triple-digit temperatures in <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/washington-dc\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"260\">Washington, D.C.<\/a>, as well as bugs, pesticides, and dehydration for fighters and fans. \u201cThat\u2019s hot as f***.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cImagine if someone loses a fight because it\u2019s too hot out,\u201d he warned. \u201cImagine if that becomes a factor. Imagine the dehydrated fighters, like the dehydrated fighters that are now being forced 24 hours later to fight in 100-degree heat outside.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rogan said the least organizers could do is \u201cbuild a f***ing roof\u201d over the venue, which is <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/entertainment\/4581468\/ufc-freedom-250-claw-stage-white-house-construction\/\">under construction<\/a> on the White House property. Construction on the massive \u201cclaw\u201d stage started Monday. Several UFC stars are set to take the stage and participate in the \u201conce in a lifetime\u201d event, including Ilia Topuria vs. Justin Gaethje in the lightweight title bout and Alex Pereira vs. Ciryl Gane for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/construction-begins-on-ufc-freedom-250-claw-stage-at-white-house\/\" title=\"... begins on UFC Freedom 250 \u2018Claw... ... at ...\">heavyweight interim title<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI just don\u2019t think that you should compete in a world championship fight in a non-controlled environment. I think it should be inside an air-conditioned arena,\u201d he said. \u201cIt should be a controlled environment, just like you wouldn\u2019t ask them to play a world championship basketball game outside in the sun. That would be crazy. You have to, you play in a f***ing air-conditioned arena, and that\u2019s how it should be.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The UFC fight is being spearheaded by Freedom 250, the organization Trump created to celebrate the semiquincentennial. The fight will be held on Trump\u2019s 80th birthday, as the president has long expressed a firm love for cage fights, even attending UFC 327\u00a0in Miami in April, where he spoke with both Rogan and White. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">White said this week that he thinks the world of fighting represents Trump\u2019s view of the world. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI think fighting, I think <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/section\/sports\/\" type=\"category\" id=\"69\">sports<\/a> does,\u201d the UFC CEO said. \u201cI think the will to win, the will to overcome, the will to, you know, he has every ounce of that, plus some, even at 80 years old \u2026 Trump is one of the toughest, most resilient human beings that I\u2019ve ever met in my life. The most.
