Any effort to place Trump\u2019s face on a circulating bill would likely require congressional action to amend the law. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the banknote designs included Trump\u2019s face in the center, flanked by his and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent\u2019s signature. British painter Iain Alexander, who was the royal portrait artist for Queen Elizabeth II, told the <em>Washington Post<\/em> that he met with the president, who suggested adding the colors of the American flag and a logo for the country\u2019s <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/america-250\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"20120\">250th anniversary<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bep.gov\/currency\/currency-redesign\">the BEP website<\/a>, currency designs are \u201ctypically made public six to eight months ahead of time for global public education and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >cash handler education purposes<\/a>.\u201d BEP said that releasing designs earlier could aid counterfeiters and lead to confusion in commerce, and concepts are not released earlier for similar reasons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Creating a new denomination would involve several layers of federal approval.
