We must protect our democracy.\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/NcgFElQSQA\">https:\/\/t.co\/NcgFElQSQA<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Oz33YQ9Y7b\">pic.twitter.com\/Oz33YQ9Y7b<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Spencer Pratt (@spencerpratt) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/spencerpratt\/status\/2059309042586259593?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 26, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<h2>\u2018Blatant Electioneering\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>On Tuesday, Pratt\u2019s attorney filed a complaint with the Los Angeles City Clerk\u2019s office and the state claiming Bass has violated the city\u2019s restriction on electioneering, soliciting votes, or \u201cspeaking to voters on the subject of marking their ballot.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere, as evidenced in her own social media posts, Karen Bass has violated the law by soliciting votes, holding signs asking voters to vote for her,\u00a0describing the qualifications\/process of casting a ballot, and engaging in blatant electioneering directly near a polling place and dropbox location,\u201d states the letter, copied to Los Angeles Executive Officer Ruben Viramontes, and City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto.<\/p>\n<p>The complaint includes the widely viewed <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KarenBassLA\/status\/2058716508080177349\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">video<\/a> of Bass strolling through a gathering of supporters\/sadomasochists before dropping what appears to be her ballot in an early-voting receptacle. In the campaign video, the incumbent Democrat encourages all listening to cast their ballots at voting centers and drop boxes around the city. <\/p>\n<p>Bass, who has campaigned on a platform of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/karen-bass-ripped-after-suggesting-taxpayer-funded-dental-care-meth-users\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">taxpayer-funded dental work for meth addicts<\/a> and a shoulder for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/releases\/2025\/02\/sick-politicians-want-killers-rapists-roaming-our-streets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/congress-aims-to-boost-border-securitys-criminal-unit-amid-surge-in-illegal-immigration\/\" title=\"Congress Aims To Boost Border Security...s Criminal Unit Amid Surge in Illegal Immigration\">violent illegal immigrants<\/a><\/a> to cry on, thanked her supporter \u2014 people whose homes apparently didn\u2019t burn down in the Palisades Fire \u2014\u00a0 for helping her bring the campaign \u201cto home base and win, right?!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI even have the babies on my side,\u201d she cringingly says to a stroller-bound toddler whose parents forced her to carry a \u201cBabies for Bass\u201d sign. Bass backers chant \u201cFour more years!\u201d The video then cuts to several voters dropping their ballots into the same drop box. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWell, I have to say is you should vote today. Fill out your ballot, hand it to a postal worker or come to a voting box like this,\u201d Bass says, standing in front of smiling supporters of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailynews.com\/2026\/05\/13\/desperate-measures-las-plan-to-tax-everything-that-moves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">soaring taxes,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2026\/01\/07\/us-news\/the-palisades-are-still-a-wasteland-wrapped-in-red-tape-a-year-after-los-angeles-promised-to-help-rebuild\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">neighborhoods in ruins<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/business\/story\/2026-05-26\/downtowns-demands-for-city-leaders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ghost town commercial and retail centers<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/12\/07\/us-news\/how-las-macarthur-park-became-a-drug-ridden-fentanyl-users-playground\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">drug zombies in the park<\/a>, \u201cWe have a few days left in this election, and we are going to take it to victory.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">You can drop off your ballot at voting centers and drop boxes throughout the city. Voting early is easy, even Babies for Bass agree! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/aVw3WuPLwB\">pic.twitter.com\/aVw3WuPLwB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Karen Bass (@KarenBassLA) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KarenBassLA\/status\/2058716508080177349?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 25, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Pratt\u2019s campaign charged that \u201cBass is so accustomed to breaking the rules with zero accountability, she didn\u2019t even think twice about FILMING HERSELF VIOLATING ELECTION LAW.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe genuinely doesn\u2019t care about protecting our democracy, nor does she care about the rule of law,\u201d a campaign official said in a statement to The Federalist. \u201cThat\u2019s why she ignores terrified mothers in LA who are being victimized by rampant criminality, and that\u2019s why she\u2019s now cheating in the election.\u201d <\/p>\n<h2>\u2018Spencer Is Just Mad\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>A spokesman for the Los Angeles City Clerk\u2019s Office told The Federalist that the department is currently reviewing Pratt\u2019s complaint \u201cto determine the appropriate course of action.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Bass shrugged off Pratt\u2019s complaint, taking a swing at her challenger\u2019s viral, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/tech\/tech-news\/spencer-pratt-los-angeles-mayoral-campaign-ai-videos-rcna345064\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI-generated ads<\/a> attacking the incumbent\u2019s leadership. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpencer is just mad that his supporters are AI cartoons and we have real Angelenos. We follow the rules,\u201d Bass, or someone on her team, wrote on X. <\/p>\n<p>But Pratt, a former reality TV star and political outsider who lost his home in the incompetence-fueled Palisades Fire, is <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2026\/05\/los-angeles-mayor-race-spencer-pratt-karen-bass-primary-1236918176\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">moving <\/a>within striking distance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/elections\/spencer-pratt-karen-bass-nithya-raman-los-angeles-mayor-election-rcna344477\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to <\/a>the latest polls. Bass is very <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/california\/story\/2026-03-22\/bass-leads-field-for-la-mayor-but-many-voters-view-her-unfavorably-poll-finds\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unpopular<\/a> among more than half of L.A. voters.
