Anymore\">piece argues<\/a> that the Democratic National Committee\u2019s long-awaited \u201cautopsy\u201d of the 2024 campaign is effectively a non-assessment: the author says it avoids meaningful critique of the party\u2019s anti-American agenda and instead focuses on election results, minor comparisons, and generic messaging lines. It highlights that DNC chair Ken Martin warned in advance that the report was not independently verifiable and that the DNC did not provide the underlying data for many claims.<\/p>\n<p>The author also disputes the report\u2019s implied lesson that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/thats-a-lot-of-about-faces-and-a-lot-of-flip-flops-kayleigh-mcenany-calls-out-dr-faucis-changing-positions\/\" title=\"\u2018That...s A Lot Of About-Faces And A Lot Of Flip-Flops...: Kayleigh McEnany Calls Out Dr. Fauci...s Changing ...s\">changing positions<\/a> only at the right time woudl have helped, pointing out that Kamala Harris did alter stances on major issues (like energy, immigration, and health care) without offering convincing explanations-and that voters still rejected Democrats. They claim Democrats have not truly changed course after the defeat, and that any \u201creflection\u201d has been redirected toward blaming voters and culture-war topics rather than the policies driving support losses.<\/p>\n<p>the author contends Democrats are not aiming to evolve their platform, but to run against declining Republicans\/Trump and then, if they gain power, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >repeat past approaches<\/a> such as aggressive legal\/political harassment, higher burdens on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/under-trump-americans-have-seen-their-best-wage-growth-in-40-years\/\" title=\"Under Trump, Americans Have Seen Their Best Wage Growth In 40 Years\">middle class<\/a>, and permissive attitudes toward crime and fraud. The article concludes that a real autopsy would identify Democrats\u2019 anti-American positions as the core reason for electoral rejection, and that the party likely believes those issues won\u2019t cost them next time.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>It was the anticlimax of the year when last week Democratic National Committee Chairman Ken Martin finally released his party\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/05\/21\/the-democrat-party-correctly-rejects-its-useless-2024-post-mortem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u201cautopsy\u201d<\/a> analyzing what led to its spectacular failure in 2024. It\u2019s almost 200 pages long, but I\u2019ll save you some time: There\u2019s nothing in it about the Democrat Party\u2019s fundamentally anti-American positions and therefore no indication that Democrats are interested in adapting to voters; rather, they\u2019re still dead-set on physically eliminating their opposition.<\/p>\n<p>The report\u2019s debut was bad enough. It only came months and months after prominent Democrats, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/2028-election\/kamala-harris-dnc-release-autopsy-report-2024-campaign-rcna343453?cid=sm_npd_nn_tw_ma&#038;taid=69fc8822083ff20001078604&#038;utm_campaign=trueanthem&#038;utm_medium=social&#038;utm_source=twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kamala Harris<\/a> (haha), called for its release. Then, when Martin did push it out, he <a href=\"https:\/\/blueprint.democrats.org\/p\/a-message-from-dnc-chair-ken-martin?r=8xbs&#038;utm_medium=ios&#038;triedRedirect=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">warned everyone<\/a> in advance that it was worthless and proceeded to annotate it to hell and back so as to make it painfully clear that he was not a co-signer of <a href=\"https:\/\/democrats.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/May-20-2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the document<\/a>. \u201cThis document reflects the views of the author, not the DNC,\u201d reads the top of every single page of the report. \u201cThe DNC was not provided with the underlying sourcing, interviews, or supporting data for many of the assertions contained herein and therefore cannot independently verify the claims presented.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>To be fair to Martin and DNC leadership, it really is a woefully inadequate assessment of not just the 2024 election but the entire state of the Democrat Party. It spends most of its time chronicling results of past elections and contrasting Kamala\u2019s performance with down-ballot candidates who were able to distinguish themselves from the party at large. The most useful portion comes on page 73, where the report suggests only a change in position would have blunted an attack from the Trump campaign.<\/p>\n<p>Well, yeah, except Kamala <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/08\/20\/is-kamala-harris-lying-about-her-positions-now-or-was-she-lying-before\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">did change her position<\/a> on several key issues, including energy production, immigration, and health care. And she did it with little to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/11\/27\/this-year-im-thankful-for-kamalas-delusional-misplaced-self-confidence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">no explanation at all<\/a>. The problem wasn\u2019t that she refused to morph into something she wasn\u2019t. It was that her boss was a terrible president and as his vice president, she bore every bit of responsibility for it. Just because she might have said the opposite of what she had done right up until it was time to get elected didn\u2019t mean voters would buy it.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s kind of perfect, though. There isn\u2019t a single position Democrats have actually changed their stance on following that defeat. And to the extent that they\u2019ve self-reflected, it\u2019s only for them to say that there\u2019s nothing wrong with the party, but that the problem is with voters who get their news from podcasts and who would like to hear less about transgenderism. That the DNC would then produce a report devoid of real criticism, but instead chock full of cliches (\u201cWe have to meet this moment with creativity, purpose, and openness\u201d) is entirely in keeping with the Democrat Party\u2019s refusal to acknowledge that its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fncs-carlson-its-time-for-the-democrats-to-accept-their-victory-forgive-the-team-they-beat-and-to-move-on-you-won-be-happy\/\" title=\"FNC&#039;s Carlson: It&#039;s ... for the ... to &#039;Accept Their Victory,&#039; &#039;Forgive the Team They Beat and to Move On&#039; -- &#039;You Won, Be Happy&#039;\">real problem<\/a> is what animates it at its core \u2014 a burning resentment and hostility toward anyone who doesn\u2019t want to destroy the American middle class.<\/p>\n<p>They know that\u2019s the gist of their platform, but of course they can\u2019t put that in writing. So they do what they always do, which is talk instead about timing and messaging \u2014 anything <em>but<\/em> their monstrous policies.<\/p>\n<p>Their plan isn\u2019t to modulate or evolve. Their plan is to watch Trump and Republicans continue declining in popularity and run against that on its own. And then Democrats hope to take power and do exactly what they did during the Biden years, on a larger scale. That means legally harassing their political opposition, squeezing taxpayers \u2014\u00a0the middle class \u2014 of every cent possible (to give to foreigners), and allowing crime to run rampant, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/01\/09\/democrats-want-anti-ice-protesters-to-die-so-they-can-protect-their-fraudulent-patronage-with-riots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">especially fraud<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A real autopsy from the party would have concluded that voters rejected Democrats in the last election because of their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Traitors-Democrat-Partys-Collapse-Anti-American\/dp\/B0FR8XCMYC\/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1XMOJGRZUR1NX&#038;dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.PCDmPMX86i4dQNWyP1JRfh_bEEzjxEAXma5rcFOp0Qg.G6cGO1D_4b_LWozNdqM531bt1zf34iu-587-TijBMwE&#038;dib_tag=se&#038;keywords=traitors+the+democrat+party%27s+collapse&#038;qid=1779824400&#038;sprefix=traitors+the+democrat+party%27s+collapse%2Caps%2C130&#038;sr=8-1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">anti-American policies<\/a>.
