The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> has reached out to Kean\u2019s office for comment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Few details have been shared regarding the congressman\u2019s illness; however, Kean told the <em>New Jersey Globe<\/em> last week that he expects to make a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/newjerseyglobe.com\/congress\/kean-says-hell-be-expects-full-recovery-confirms-re-election-bid\/\">full recovery<\/a> and be back on Capitol Hill and the campaign trail in the \u201cnext couple of weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMy doctors are confident that I\u2019m on the road to a full recovery,\u201d Kean\u00a0told the outlet. \u201cI understand the need for public transparency, and I appreciate the support of my constituents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kean confirmed during the interview that he is still running for reelection for <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/new-jersey\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"1065\">New Jersey\u2019s<\/a> 7th Congressional District, a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >purple swing district<\/a> that will be crucial to Republicans\u2019 effort to hold their House majority in November.
