The report includes critiques of former Vice President Kamala Harris and claims she had a \u201cDefinition Problem,\u201d while comparing her performance to democratic Gov. Josh Stein of North carolina.<\/p>\n<p>CNN reports that DNC Chair Ken Martin had originally entrusted the project to a friend\/consultant, Paul Rivera, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-reasons-making-taxpayers-pay-off-student-loans-is-a-rotten-idea\/\" title=\"5 Reasons Making Taxpayers Pay Off Student Loans Is A Rotten Idea\">worked part-time<\/a>, and that Martin kept shifting release deadlines-at one point suggesting the report would not be released at all-leading to internal frustration and speculation about the motives behind the delays. Martin later released the report \u201cas we received it,\u201d unedited and unabridged, saying it wasn\u2019t ready because no underlying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/medical-professor-warned-colleagues-that-schools-racial-preferences-were-illegal-and-he-was-removed-from-directorship-now-hes-suing\/\" title=\"Medical Professor Warned Colleagues That School\u2019s Racial Preferences Were Illegal And He Was Removed From Directorship. Now He\u2019s Suing.\">source material<\/a> was provided and that withholding it created an even larger distraction.<\/p>\n<p>as described in the piece, the release was intended to address accusations of dishonesty, though some insiders characterized the situation as incompetence rather than strategy.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><br \/>\n<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC \"-\/\/W3C\/\/DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional\/\/EN\" \"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/REC-html40\/loose.dtd\"><br \/>\n<?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><html><body><\/p>\n<section> \t\t\t\t<script>console.log(\"ad slot (AC1)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC1)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC2)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC3)\")<\/script><script>console.log(\"ad slot (IC4)\")<\/script><\/p>\n<p>In an ironic twist, the Democrats\u2019 quest to find out what went wrong in 2024 has itself gone terribly wrong.<\/p>\n<p>After more than a year of anticipation, suspicion, and all-around controversy, the Democratic National Committee finally turned over a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/28139536-may-20-2026\/?q=define+trump&#038;mode=document#document\/p31\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">version<\/a> of its 2024 election autopsy to CNN, which published it Thursday, albeit with DNC-authored caveats about its findings, including criticisms of former Vice President Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Harris, for instance, \u201cwrote off rural America, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >assuming urban\/suburban margins<\/a> would compensate.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report also concluded that Harris had a \u201cDefinition Problem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHarris struggled with definition beyond \u2018not Trump\u2019 and \u2018prosecutor vs. felon,&#8217;\u201d the report read.<\/p>\n<p>Those general assessments of Harris\u2019 shortcomings appeared in a section of the report that contrasted the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/media-say-bidens-female-led-comms-is-a-first-trump-has-that-now\/\" title=\"Media Say Biden&#039;s Female-Led Comms Is A First. Trump Has That Now\">vice president\u2019<\/a>s performance with that of Democratic Gov. Josh Stein of North Carolina, who handily won his 2024 gubernatorial election in a state that Harris lost.<\/p>\n<p>More tellingly, however, the DNC stopped well short of endorsing the report\u2019s findings. In fact, it did everything it could to qualify or even disavow its own admittedly unfinished report.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, each page of the 192-page report featured a heading with the following Disclaimer:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis document reflects the views of the author, not the DNC. The DNC was not provided with the underlying sourcing, interviews, or supporting data for many of the assertions contained herein and therefore cannot independently verify the claims presented.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And who was that \u201cauthor\u201d?<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2026\/05\/21\/politics\/dnc-autopsy-inside-story\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a>, beleaguered DNC Chair Ken Martin originally entrusted the autopsy to a friend, Democratic consultant Paul Rivera, who then worked on the project part-time.<\/p>\n<p>As the autopsy remained unfinished throughout 2025, Martin kept changing deadlines for its release. First, he promised to deliver it in the spring, then in the summer, then in October, and then after the November elections.<\/p>\n<p>With each change, Democrats\u2019 frustrations mounted. As a result, what CNN called a \u201crat\u2019s nest of self-serving conspiracy theories\u201d developed. Democrats speculated, for instance, that Martin meant to protect Harris ahead of her possible 2028 presidential bid. Why else would he keep delaying the report\u2019s release?<\/p>\n<p>Finally, in a podcast appearance last month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-democrats-seeking-stage-mutiny-chair-dnc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Martin<\/a> announced that he would not release the report at all. Democrats talked openly about replacing the DNC Chair.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, CNN \u201cobtained extensive details\u201d about the unfinished report\u2019s contents. At that point, DNC officials gave the network what they claimed was everything they had in their possession.<\/p>\n<p>Hence, Thursday\u2019s publication.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Martin expressed contrition and embarrassment over the autopsy process and its result.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I was elected DNC chair, I commissioned an after action review of the 2024 election that I wanted to be honest and transparent, and with actionable and specific takeaways for the future of the Democratic Party,\u201d Martin said in a statement to CNN. \u201cWhen I received the report late last year, it wasn\u2019t ready for primetime \u2014 not even close \u2014 and because no source material was provided, it would have meant starting over. I could not in good faith put the DNC\u2019s stamp of approval on the report that was produced.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter last November\u2019s massive Democratic wins, I didn\u2019t want to create a distraction, but by not putting the report out, I ended up creating an even bigger distraction,\u201d he continued. \u201cFor that, I sincerely apologize. For full transparency, I am releasing the report as we received it, in its entirety, unedited and unabridged.
