He said he\u2019s a \u201cfighter for the people,\u201d not a traditional politician, and claimed he\u2019s most similar to Barack Obama-though he acknowledged he doesn\u2019t have a law degree and said he may pursue one (including \u201cthe baby bar\u201d) before November.<\/p>\n<p>Pratt\u2019s comments drew criticism on *The view*, where co-host Sunny Hostin said he lacks experience in politics and a law degree and suggested he take \u201cbaby steps\u201d such as running for <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >city council<\/a> first. And there are baby steps you can take, like why not run for city council and learn about the city budget, and then maybe become president of the city council, and then maybe become the mayor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pratt faces current city Mayor <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/karen-bass\/\">Karen Bass<\/a> and council member Nithya Raman, who are <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/democrats\/\">Democrats<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Because Los Angeles uses a nonpartisan <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/elections\/\">election<\/a> system for city offices, all the candidates will appear on one <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/ballots\/\">ballot<\/a> and party affiliation will not be shown.
