Smith of the Montgomery County Sheriff\u2019s Office told the tale in a <a href=\"https:\/\/montgomerycountysheriffny.com\/press\/record\/recmgTnqNu4lGM8FP?sId=J2_SpQhP8qTo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Antone Glionna, 25, \u00a0drove from the small, rural community of Hagaman west of Albany down to the Montgomery County Sheriff\u2019s Office in Fultonville.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">A 25-year-old man who drove to the Montgomery County Sheriff\u2019s Office to pick up someone being released after a DWI arrest was arrested himself after deputies said they suspected he was intoxicated.<\/p>\n<p>More:<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/r6ukwffxWB\">https:\/\/t.co\/r6ukwffxWB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CBS 6 Albany \u2013 WRGB (@CBS6Albany) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBS6Albany\/status\/2056351850501226844?\">May 18, 2026<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>A friend of Glionna\u2019s had been arrested on a DWI charge, and Glionna was going to be his ride home.<\/p>\n<p>It did not take long for things to go downhill.<\/p>\n<p>Glionna managed to call a lot of attention to himself by skipping past the public parking lot.<\/p>\n<p>Instead he parked in a restricted parking area.<\/p>\n<p>A sheriff\u2019s deputy then came by to see what was taking place and, as the release noted, \u201cit was suspected that Glionna was intoxicated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStandardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered and Glionna was subsequently placed under arrest for DWI,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n<p>Glionna\u2019s bad day then got worse.<\/p>\n<p>Deputies checked Glionna\u2019s records, and quickly learned that he had some issues with driving and drinking.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGlionna\u2019s New York State Driver\u2019s License had been revoked due to a prior DWI related conviction and chemical test refusal,\u201d the release said.<\/p>\n<p>Glionna was given an appearance ticket to show up in Glen Town Court at a later date.<\/p>\n<p>Glionna was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree; driving with a BAC of 0.08 percent or higher; DWI first offense; and unlicensed operator, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs6albany.com\/news\/local\/drunk-man-shows-up-to-sheriffs-office-to-pick-up-friend-after-dwi-arrest-deputies-say-antone-glionna-sheriff-jeffery-smith-drivers-license-had-been-revoked-dmv-records-check-montgomery-county-sheriffs-office-public-parking-area-glen-town-court-cbs6-wrgb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WRGB-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Sheriff\u2019s Office said Glionna was released to a third party.
