Incumbent Justice Charles Bethel is projected to win against leftist Miracle Rankin by about 2.2 points, while incumbent Justice Sarah Hawkins Warren is projected to defeat left-wing candidate Jen Jordan by roughly 18.6 points, with both races showing more than 95% of votes reported.<\/p>\n<p>The article notes that Bethel and Warren were originally appointed by former GOP Gov. Nathan Deal and backed by current Gov. Brian Kemp and Republicans. Unofficial results show the former beating the latter by 2.2 points, with more than 95 percent of votes tabulated as of publication, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2026\/us\/elections\/results-georgia-supreme-court-justice-bethel-seat.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1849732366\" class=\"d-flex justify-content-center fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 fdrlst__b89e9-entity-placement\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Meanwhile, incumbent Justice Sarah Hawkins Warren is projected to defeat left-wing candidate Jen Jordan in a massive landslide. Per the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2026\/us\/elections\/results-georgia-supreme-court-justice-warren-seat.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Times<\/a>, preliminary results show Warren beating Jordan by a whopping 18.6 points, with more than 95 percent of votes counted as of publication.<\/p>\n<p>Both Bethel and Warren were initially <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/05\/15\/republicans-cant-afford-to-sleep-on-georgias-supreme-court-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">appointed<\/a> to their positions by former GOP Gov. Nathan Deal and received backing from current Gov. Brian Kemp and Republicans. Meanwhile, Rankin and Jordan were supported by former President Obama, Democrats, and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/rnc-chair-condemns-biden-abortion-policy\/\" title=\"RNC chair condemns Biden ... policy\">pro-abortion forces<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Incumbent Justice Ben Land, a Kemp appointee, easily won his election after running unopposed. <\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/05\/15\/republicans-cant-afford-to-sleep-on-georgias-supreme-court-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, Rankin and Jordan are pro-abortion activists who have signaled their intent to act as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/a-political-power-grab-biden-creates-commission-to-study-packing-the-supreme-court\/\" title=\"\u2018A Political Power Grab\u2019: Biden Creates Commission To Study Packing The Supreme ...\">left-wing partisans<\/a> on the Georgia Supreme Court. The Peach State\u2019s highest court has been asked to weigh in on numerous high-profile matters in recent years, including cases that deal with abortion, election integrity, and Democrat lawfare. <\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s elections came a day after a federal appellate court unsealed <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2026\/05\/18\/georgia-watchdog-says-democrat-backed-supreme-court-candidates-broke-judicial-rules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">damning findings<\/a> Rankin and Jordan discovered by the Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission (JQC), which probes alleged acts of judicial misconduct. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the JQC committee \u201csaid it \u2018reasonably believes&#8217;\u201d the two leftist candidates \u201cviolated the judicial code by publicly endorsing one another and promising to restore abortion rights\u201d if elected. <\/p>\n<p>Rankin and Jordan fought in court to prevent the JQC\u2019s findings from being released to the public ahead of Tuesday\u2019s elections. While a district court judge \u2014 who happened to be the sister of failed Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams \u2014 issued an order preventing the assessment\u2019s release, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals intervened and authorized its publication on Monday. <\/p>\n<p>The results of Tuesday\u2019s races guarantee that the Georgia Supreme Court will remain in conservative hands through 2028. As Bolts magazine <a href=\"https:\/\/boltsmag.org\/georgia-supreme-court-elections-may-2026\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">observed prior<\/a> to the elections, \u201cThree more Georgia justices come up for election in 2028, meaning that a victory from this year\u2019s challengers\u201d would have set the stage for \u201ca longshot path for a liberal majority on the court ahead of that year\u2019s presidential election.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That path is no longer viable following Tuesday\u2019s results. <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
