In one instance, during the first week of April, eight teenagers were <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/wjla.com\/news\/local\/police-arrest-eight-teens-after-multiple-fights-in-southwest-dc-spokesman-says\">arrested<\/a> after police responded to reports of fighting in the Navy Yard district. In multiple incidents, police officers were reportedly assaulted by the youths.<\/p>\n<p>Bowser\u2019s plea for the restoration of the juvenile curfew comes after U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro warned that parents of teenagers causing trouble in the so-called \u201cteen takeovers\u201d <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/4573311\/pirro-threatens-fines-prosecutions-for-parents-teen-takeovers\/\">could face legal consequences<\/a> in the future, including $500 fines, criminal prosecutions, and jail time, in certain circumstances.
