The spot parodies the show\u2019s theme song, tying his decision to run for mayor to his home being destroyed in the Palisades fire adn using references that also take shots at incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.<\/p>\n<p>The ad follows reports and online criticism that he had been staying at the upscale Hotel bel-Air while his wife, Heidi Montag, lived with their children in Santa Barbara-something Pratt had previously tried to address by arguing that both the trailer and hotel were \u201ctemporary\u201d housing and calling it a matter of semantics. The report was viewed by some as contradicting one of his central campaign ads, when he filmed himself in a trailer outside the ruins of his home, saying it was where he lived.<\/p>\n<p>Pratt initially pushed back against the criticisms by insisting he didn\u2019t live anywhere but that the trailer would\u2019ve been an improper residence for his wife and children.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/beltway-confidential\/4572814\/karen-bass-democrats-scared-of-spencer-pratt\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"4572814\">KAREN BASS AND DEMOCRATS ARE SCARED OF SPENCER PRATT<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Airstream [trailer] is a temporary facility,\u201d he said. \u201cA hotel is a temporary facility.
