In a statement, Ethics Chairman Michael Guest said the committee is examining claims that Edwards may have created a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >antagonistic work surroundings<\/a> and violated the House Code of Official Conduct. Guest added that the inquiry itself does not indicate any wrongdoing and that no further comment would be made except under committee rules.<\/p>\n<p>Edwards was described as the latest member of Congress accused of sexual misconduct, as bipartisan lawmakers push legislation to address abuse.House speaker Mike Johnson had previously said the allegations were serious, and Edwards has denied them.
