State has made sexual violence and abuse \u201cstandard operating procedures\u201d and \u201ca major element in the ill treatment of Palestinians.\u201d He added that the Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor, which has a history of criticisms against Israel, said that Israel uses \u201csystemic sexual violence\u201d that is widely implemented as part of state policy. <\/p>\n<p>The individuals interviewed for Kristof\u2019s article include Palestinian journalists, farmers, and civilians who were imprisoned by Israeli authorities.
