He argued that Democrats, along with some media, are framing the debate as \u201cvoter suppression,\u201d \u201cracism,\u201d and \u201cwhite supremacy,\u201d while also dismissing evidence that Black candidates can be elected in South Carolina.<\/p>\n<p>Benson pointed too statements from Republican Sen. Tim Scott, who said he previously won a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/michael-barone-in-systemically-racist-america-lots-of-whites-vote-for-blacks\/\" title=\"Michael Barone: In \u201cSystemically Racist... America, Lots of Whites Vote for Blacks\">majority-white district<\/a> and later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/north-carolina-gov-roy-cooper-puts-senate-run-on-the-table\/\" title=\"North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper puts Senate run \u2018on the table\u2019\">won statewide races<\/a> in South Carolina. He also reacted to comments from Rep. Ro Khanna asserting that South Carolina is drawing maps to prevent a Black person from serving in Congress. Jean Carroll \u2014 for now<\/h3>\n<p>                         <\/a>                     <\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<p>South Carolina\u2019s state <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/senate\/\">Senate<\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/4565459\/south-carolina-republican-redistricting-clyburn\/\">blocked its redistricting push<\/a> Tuesday, a move that, if passed, could give <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/republicans\/\">Republicans<\/a> the ability to flip the only Democratic seat held by Rep. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/jim-clyburn\/\">Jim Clyburn<\/a> (D-SC).<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>Benson reacted to a post by Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/RoKhanna\/status\/2053994429216625141\">on X<\/a>. Tim Scott (R-SC) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/votetimscott\/status\/2052430575097561228\">on X<\/a> that said, \u201cThe <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/leftism\/\">Left<\/a> disregards Black success that doesn\u2019t fit their narrative.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scott added, \u201cI beat Strom Thurmond\u2019s son in a majority-white district for a seat in Congress.
