Rep. Darrell Issa\u2019s resolution to erase the impeachments has gained backing from Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, who called it a way to remove what he describes as a \u201csham\u201d from the record.<\/p>\n<p>The effort builds on earlier attempts by Republicans to clear Trump\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-formally-authorizes-biden-impeachment-probe\/\" title=\"... In 2022, then-Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/3492186-mullin-legislation-would-expunge-trump-jan-6-impeachment\/\">introduced resolutions<\/a> to expunge Trump\u2019s impeachments. In 2023, then-Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/stefanik.house.gov\/2023\/6\/stefanik-greene-introduce-resolutions-to-expunge-donald-trump-s-impeachments\">introduced resolutions<\/a> to formally clear Trump\u2019s record, arguing that both impeachments were unconstitutional and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-kyle-rittenhouse-finally-released-on-2-million-cash-bond\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Kyle Ritten...
