And as we saw when the conflict broke out, they attacked all of their neighbors in the Middle East that had no involvement in the conflict whatsoever.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>Wright doubled down on insisting that Iran cannot be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon. He reiterated that he was avoiding making price predictions when Welker asked again about the $5 mark but said the \u201cUnited States is in a tremendous position.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re by far the world\u2019s largest producer of natural gas,\u201d Wright said. \u201cThere\u2019s been no rise in the price of natural gas. That\u2019s the largest primary energy source for the United States, that\u2019s for home heating, that\u2019s for electricity. Gasoline and diesel prices are up, and they will remain up while this conflict\u2019s in place, and then they will come back down.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Gas prices reached $4.52 per gallon on Sunday, according to <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/gasprices.aaa.com\/\">AAA<\/a>, rising about 7 cents since the week prior and about 37 cents since the month prior. The hostilities in gas prices and oil markets stem largely from the uncertainty around the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/strait-of-hormuz\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"21488\">Strait of Hormuz<\/a>, which the U.S. is <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/defense\/4561877\/us-redirected-disabled-tankers-during-hormuz-blockade-centcom\/\">blockading<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Iran had choked off the crucial oil shipping strait at the beginning of the U.S.-Israeli war, and the uncertainty over whether or not ships can safely pass through the waterway has wreaked havoc in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-begs-oil-industry-to-lower-prices-as-energy-crisis-looms-report\/\" title=\"Biden Begs ...
