(AP Photo\/Adam Gray)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Kazmierczak had been charged at both the federal and state levels over the Jan. 17 incident, when authorities say he rushed toward Omar during a public town hall event and sprayed her with what investigators later identified as apple cider vinegar.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>According to court documents, Kazmierczak also allegedly made threatening remarks about the Minnesota Democrat before the attack. A close associate told investigators that Kazmierczak once said, \u201cSomebody should kill that b****,\u201d referring to Omar.<\/p>\n<p>Before the suspect charged toward her, Omar was in the middle of calling for former Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to resign or \u201cface impeachment.\u201d After she said that, he allegedly yelled, \u201cShe\u2019s not resigning. You\u2019re splitting Minnesotans apart,\u201d as he pointed at and sprayed Omar, according to the FBI special agent\u2019s accompanying <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/storage.courtlistener.com\/recap\/gov.uscourts.mnd.231039\/gov.uscourts.mnd.231039.1.1.pdf\">affidavit<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The incident briefly disrupted the event but did not stop it entirely.
