Kevin Bolan, chief of the civil division in the U.S.Attorney\u2019s Office for the District of Rhode island, said the omission related to an international homicide charge involving Bryan rafael Gomez, who was released by DuBose on April 28. DuBose said the lack of candor must be addressed and investigated, and she was unaware of the overseas charge as the lawyer did not inform her.<\/p>\n<p>Gomez, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-biden-admin-is-transporting-illegal-immigrants-to-get-abortions\/\" title=\"The Biden Admin Is Transporting ...s to Get Abortions\">alleged illegal immigrant<\/a>, was wanted for homicide by the Dominican republic; DHS reportedly instructed Bolan not to disclose the international warrant before the release decision. The criminal arrest was issued by an administrative body in Santo Domingo in January 2023. The <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/department-of-homeland-security\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"3083\">Department of Homeland Security<\/a> alleges that Gomez is an illegal immigrant.<\/p>\n<p>The DHS attacked the judge for releasing the detainee from custody in a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/news\/2026\/04\/30\/activist-biden-judge-releases-violent-criminal-illegal-alien-wanted-murder\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.dhs.gov\/news\/2026\/04\/30\/activist-biden-judge-releases-violent-criminal-illegal-alien-wanted-murder\">Thursday press release<\/a>, calling her an \u201cactivist judge appointed by Joe Biden.\u201d Bolan said the U.S. attorney\u2019s office in Rhode Island requested the statement to be retracted. If the DOJ request is not honored, DuBose indicated she would use her authority to compel the DHS to take down the press release from its website.<\/p>\n<p>DuBose did not know about the international charge because the DOJ lawyer did not inform her of the overseas warrant. Bolan said the DHS instructed him not to tell her about it before she issued the order granting Gomez\u2019s release on April 28.<\/p>\n<p>In a <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ri\/media\/1439211\/dl?inline\" type=\"link\" id=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ri\/media\/1439211\/dl?inline\">court filing<\/a>, Bolan said he was aware of the homicide charge from the Dominican Republic but decided against sharing that detail with the judge after discussing the issue with the DHS.
