The successful challengers were backed by President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/trump-endorsed-candidates-2026-indiana-170539045.html?guccounter=1&#038;guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&#038;guce_referrer_sig=AQAAALYR_0UtB97TOm-6Cq5wrlsFAG80dRz3WyL3JdQagyGOB2-oeD0iylVrfEjICIBBI7cOTq8potqMGAX3Xfp-V0qkI63ewdFPi1vVKD82ghW_V5xZmBCQuKeWXg6-dvdni8oSuRufDoFv9FinhCELtUUdz9e7nj6iC9paBosnyr6M\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a>, Indiana Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfyi.org\/statewide\/2026-04-15\/braun-issues-endorsements-for-lawmakers-including-some-that-voted-against-redistricting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mike Braun<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AndrewKolvet\/status\/2051822613266108446?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Turning Point Action<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-489661985\" class=\"d-flex justify-content-center fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 fdrlst__b89e9-entity-placement\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In Senate District 1, challenger Trevor De Vries is estimated to defeat incumbent Sen. Daniel Dernulc. As of publication, De Vries leads Dernulc 76 percent to 23 percent, with 74 percent of votes tabulated.<\/p>\n<p>In Senate District 11, contender Brian Schmutzler is projected to beat out incumbent Sen. Linda Rogers. The former leads the latter by roughly 18 points with more than 95 percent of votes counted. <\/p>\n<p>Challenger Blake Fiechter also put on a dominating performance in his race against incumbent Sen. Travis Holdman in Senate District 19. According to the Times, preliminary results show Fiechter beating Holdman by 22 points with 73 percent of votes tabulated. <\/p>\n<p>Success was also on display in Senate District 21, where contender Tracey Powell is projected to defeat incumbent Sen. James Buck. Unfinalized figures show Powell winning the race by 30 points, with 84 percent of votes counted. <\/p>\n<p>Buck was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/news\/articles\/mike-pence-breaks-trump-over-165234612.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">endorsed<\/a> by former Vice President Mike Pence. <\/p>\n<p>In Senate District 41, Trump-backed Michelle Davis is projected to take down incumbent Sen. Greg Walker by nearly 20 points. <\/p>\n<p>Walker notably <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therepublic.com\/2025\/11\/26\/sen-greg-walker-declines-oval-office-visit-accuses-white-house-of-violating-hatch-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">declined<\/a> an invitation to visit the White House last year amid the Indiana Legislature\u2019s redistricting push. In doing so, he went out of his way to say that Trump \u201cworks for me\u201d and accused the White House of violating federal law by \u201ctrying to influence the election on my dime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ipm.org\/news\/2026-05-05\/greg-goode-wins-republican-nomination-beats-trump-backed-challenger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">refusing<\/a> to back redistricting efforts, Sen. Greg Goode is projected to have survived his primary challenge. In a three-person race, the incumbent senator is estimated to have won more than half the vote, with Trump-endorsed Brenda Wilson projected to come in second and Alexandra Wilson in third, according to preliminary results. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a key race in Senate District 23 remains undecided as of publication time.
