Trump International Airport\u201d through a naming-rights and licensing agreement. The deal grants the county a permanent, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/is-this-why-trump-hasnt-gone-back-to-twitter-yet\/\" title=\"Is This Why Trump Hasn&#039;t Gone Back to Twitter Yet?\">royalty-free license<\/a> to use Trump\u2019s name, image, and biographical facts for airport branding, covers signage and marketing, and includes approval control for branded materials via DTTM Operations (run by Donald Trump Jr.).<\/p>\n<p>Although the county approved the change, the Federal Aviation Administration must <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >complete administrative steps<\/a> to update navigation records and charts; the renaming is expected to take effect after FAA processing, likely by July 1. I don\u2019t think there\u2019ll be anything as good as your airport will be anywhere in the country.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>Though the commissioners have now approved the new name and branding, the <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/federal-aviation-administration\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"2521\">Federal Aviation Administration<\/a> technically provides final input on whether it takes effect. It is expected to be approved and renamed after Trump by July 1.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cChanging an airport name is a local issue, and the FAA does not approve airport name changes,\u201d the FAA said in <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/cw34.com\/news\/local\/palm-beach-county-commissioners-to-vote-on-renaming-palm-beach-international-airport-after-president-donald-trump-ron-desantis-palm-beach-county\">a statement<\/a> to CBS12 News. \u201cHowever, the FAA must complete some administrative tasks to include updating navigational charts and databases.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When he is not at the White House, Trump often returns to Palm Beach, where his home, Mar-a-Lago, is located.  <\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court\/4506263\/pressure-mounts-supreme-court-to-hear-case-secret-gender-transitions\/\"><strong>PRESSURE MOUNTS ON SUPREME COURT TO TAKE UP CASE THAT TESTS SECRET GENDER TRANSITIONS AT SCHOOLS<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The trademark deal allows DTTM Operations, which manages Trump\u2019s trademarks and secured the trademark for \u201cDonald J. Trump International Airport,\u201d to approve or deny any of the branding beforehand.\u00a0 The president\u2019s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., heads DTTM. The company can control who manufactures Trump airport-branded items but cannot profit from their purchase or sale.<\/p>\n<p>The Palm Beach commission vote on Tuesday came after Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/4510152\/desantis-signs-legislation-to-rename-florida-airport-after-trump\/\">signed legislation<\/a> allowing the airport name change in March. The development followed efforts by Republican state Rep. Meg Weinberger and Republican state Sen.
