A new York company recalled the FitRx SmartBell Swift-Select adjustable dumbbells, sold with weight ranges from 5 to 52.5 pounds, after reports that the weight plates can dislodge from the handle during use.<\/p>\n

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission says this creates a serious impact injury hazard.About 50,000 units were affected, and more then 115 reports of plates coming loose were received; at least six people were injured, including broken toes and various cuts and bruises. <\/p>\n

Tzumi Electronics instructed customers to stop using the dumbbells and contact the company for a free replacement of the dumbbell and tray. Affected products, sold at Walmart for about $100 between January and November 2024, include specific serial numbers<\/a><\/a> and come in black with red accents. <\/p>\n
