Brad Raffensperger and Chris Carr are basically splitting the male and female metro voters who might be less inclined to support President [Donald] Trump,\u201d <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/insideradvantage.com\/insideradvantage-georgia-survey-gop-governors-race-remain-a-two-man-contest-senate-contest-could-become-close-between-all-three-major-candidates\/\">InsiderAdvantage<\/a> pollster Matt Towery said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p>Jackson took the lead over Jones in an early February <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/4453961\/rick-jackson-ahead-georgia-governor-race-polling-despite-leadership-support-burt-jones\/\">poll from co\/efficient<\/a> released about one week after he <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/4450630\/rick-jackson-threatens-burt-jones-lock-maga-base-georgia-governor-race-campaign-launch\/\">entered the race<\/a>. Jackson, the self-funded CEO of Jackson Healthcare, and Jones, whom President Donald Trump endorsed, have been battling for the Republican Party\u2019s MAGA base since Jackson threw his name in the ring in February.<\/p>\n<p>In early March, an <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/emersoncollegepolling.com\/georgia-2026-poll-senator-ossoff-starts-re-election-near-50-and-outpaces-gop-field\/\">Emerson College<\/a> poll had Jones leading Jackson by 1 percentage point, 21% to 20%. The InsiderAdvantage poll released Friday brings Jackson back into the lead.<\/p>\n<p>Early voting in the Peach State began Monday and will continue through May 15. Gov. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/state\/3491784\/geoff-duncan-changes-voter-registration-democrat\/\">Geoff Duncan<\/a>, former state Sen. Jason Esteves, and former DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond trailing behind her.<\/p>\n<p>Gov. <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/brian-kemp\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"3312\">Brian Kemp<\/a> (R-GA) has not made an endorsement in the gubernatorial primary, though he has endorsed former football coach <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/derek-dooley\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"17648\">Derek Dooley<\/a> in the state\u2019s GOP primary Senate race.
