According to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/media\/543976-facebook-planning-to-creat-instagram-for-children-under-13-report\">reports<\/a>, executives announced the move in an internal message to its employees.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Facebook is budding to build a kid-friendly Instagram for users under the age of 13. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KS5oyRnnR0\">pic.twitter.com\/KS5oyRnnR0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MrDigital (@mrdigital_ng) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mrdigital_ng\/status\/1373016990672162822?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 19, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Internet safety advocates believe the decision will pave the way for online predators to target minors.
