But FBI does it too,&rdquo; the USA Today headline read.<\/p>\n<p>Well, the outlet did get one thing right. This Department of Justice will hold the SPLC and every other fraudulent organization operating with the same deceptive playbook accountable. No entity is above the law.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, FBI Director <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kash-patel-unleashes-250-million-lawsuit-atlantic-obviously-false-article\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kash Patel<\/a> characterized SPLC&rsquo;s alleged activities as fraudulent in multiple ways.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The SPLC allegedly engaged in a massive fraud operation to deceive their donors, enrich themselves, and hide their deceptive operations from the public,&rdquo; Patel said. &ldquo;They lied to their donors, vowing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-loves-to-say-his-wh-bid-was-sparked-by-charlottesville-rally-which-doj-says-the-splc-helped-plan\/\" title=\"Biden Loves to Say His WH Bid Was Sparked by Charlottesville Rally, Which DOJ Says the ... Helped Plan\">dismantle violent extremist groups<\/a>, and actually turned around and paid the leaders of these very extremist groups &mdash; even utilizing the funds to have these groups facilitate the commission of state and federal crimes. That is illegal &mdash; and this is an ongoing investigation against all individuals involved.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The alleged use of donor funds to &ldquo;facilitate the commission of state and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-is-treated-differently-but-not-how-joes-pardon-suggests\/\" title=\"Hunter Is \u2018Treated Differently,\u2019 But Not How Joe\u2019s Pardon Suggests\">federal crimes&#038;rdquo<\/a>; strikes the lay reader as especially serious.<\/p>\n<p>Do not bother Carless and establishment-media liberals with such details, however. They have a &ldquo;racism&rdquo; and &ldquo;white supremacy&rdquo; narrative to uphold.<\/p>\n<p>With that in mind, Carless quoted an academic, a former paid FBI confidential source, and a former prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>Javed Ali, associate professor of practice at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and a former federal counterterrorism official, helped USA Today justify SPLC&rsquo;s alleged behavior by comparing it to the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There are, I would have to imagine, every day those kinds of operations&rdquo; at the FBI, Ali said.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kash-patel-urges-swalwell-speak-fbi-resignation-amid-lingering-fang-fang-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FBI<\/a> paid informant David Gletty celebrated the organization and bemoaned the indictment.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They were doing good,&rdquo; Gletty said of SPLC. &ldquo;This looks bad for them, but they were doing good.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>For good measure, former public prosecutor Pat Crotter called the indictment &ldquo;ludicrous and idiotic.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of &ldquo;ludicrous and idiotic,&rdquo; one must take issue with the comparison of the SPLC to the FBI.<\/p>\n<p>First of all, is it a good thing for an organization with no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-judiciary-republicans-fbi-waited-over-a-year-to-fully-investigate-jan-6-pipe-bombs\/\" title=\"House Judiciary Republicans: ... Waited Over a Year to Fully Investigate Jan. 6 Pipe Bombs\">law-enforcement authority<\/a> to behave like the FBI? The question seems not to have occurred to Carless and his sources.<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, in light of its checkered history, is it a good thing even for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fbi-swarms-small-town-swat-team-armored-vehicles-search-jan-6-suspect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FBI<\/a> to behave like the FBI?<\/p>\n<p>For instance, who were those masked individuals breaking windows during the Capitol incursion of Jan. 6, 2021? We know the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/small-army-finally-know-many-plainclothes-fbi-agents-jan-6-crowd-secretly-embedded-wray\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FBI<\/a> had a substantial presence that day that went unreported for years.
