The survey of 2,009 registered voters shows:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 68% overall support the Act\u2019s main provisions, including 45% of democrats and 90% of Republicans; 54% say it\u2019s more critically important to stop voter fraud and illegal voting than to ensure eligible citizens aren\u2019t denied the vote.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Strong backing for verification rules: 81% support requiring a valid ID to vote, and 74% support requiring proof of citizenship to vote; about 60% favor states sharing unredacted voting rolls with the Department of homeland Security (DHS), including 39% of Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The majority of respondents also support other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-democrats-move-on-h-r-1-for-the-people-act-to-eliminate-voter-id-requirements-remove-gop-congressional-seats\/\" title=\"House ... move on H.R.1 \u2018For the People ... to eliminate ... requirements, remove GOP congressional seats\">election integrity requirements<\/a>, like counting ballots within 24 hours after Election Day, removing noncitizens from the voter rolls, and even allowing states to share voting records with the Department of Homeland Security.  <\/p>\n<p>The Harvard CAPS\/Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/harvardharrispoll.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/HHP_Mar2026_KeyResults.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poll<\/a> is conducted monthly. Last month&rsquo;s survey, conducted March 25-26, included 2,009 respondents identified as &ldquo;registered voters.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1554349533\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Much of leftist media outlets&rsquo; coverage surrounding the SAVE America Act &mdash; which would require documentary proof of citizenship when registering to vote and voter ID in federal elections &mdash; fearmongers that the legislation would essentially disenfranchise voters en masse by enacting these common-sense safeguards. The recent Harvard\/Harris poll suggests that Americans aren&rsquo;t as worried about that as the corporate press would have you think.<\/p>\n<p>The poll found that an overwhelming majority of respondents &mdash; 68 percent &mdash; still support all the main provisions of the SAVE America Act, including 45 percent of Democrats and 90 percent of Republicans. Interestingly, 54 percent of respondents &mdash; including more than a third of Democrats &mdash; agree that it is more important to &ldquo;do everything possible to stop voter fraud and illegal immigrants from voting&rdquo; than it is to ensure that &ldquo;eligible citizens aren&rsquo;t denied the ability to vote.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Nearly 60 percent of respondents want the SAVE America Act passed into law before the 2026 midterms. Despite Americans&rsquo; clear support for the SAVE America Act and their desire to see it through as soon as possible, John Thune and other RINO senators have only continued to slow-walk the legislation throughout the past month. <\/p>\n<p>As previous polling has already shown, requiring voter ID to cast ballots in elections remains an 80-20 issue among Americans. The March Harvard\/Harris poll once again found that 81 percent of respondents supported &ldquo;requiring every voter to have a valid ID to vote.&rdquo; An overwhelming majority &mdash; 74 percent, including 61 percent of Democrats &mdash; also support requiring proof of citizenship to vote in elections.<\/p>\n<p>In recent weeks, the Trump administration has sued a number of states for their refusal to hand over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/unreliable-voter-rolls-poison-election-integrity-but-one-group-might-have-the-antidote\/\" title=\"Unreliable ... Poison Election Integrity, But One Group Might Have The Antidote\">voter roll records<\/a> to the DHS. Media and voting rights activists <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brennancenter.org\/our-work\/analysis-opinion\/trump-administration-has-sued-more-20-states-refusing-turn-over-voter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">assert<\/a> that Trump&rsquo;s &ldquo;bid to sweep up voter rolls across the nation&rdquo; is &ldquo;an attempt to take over election administration.&rdquo; However, as the Department of Justice&rsquo;s Harmeet Dhillon recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailysignal.com\/2026\/04\/19\/dojs-harmeet-dhillon-details-just-how-much-a-mess-voter-rolls-are\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">laid out<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-plans-to-cut-100000-names-off-state-voter-rolls-in-major-list-maintenance-effort\/\" title=\"Georgia Plans To Cut 100,000 Names Off State ... In \u2018Major List Maintenance Effort\u2019\">state voter rolls<\/a> are riddled with &ldquo;dead people&rdquo; and potential noncitizens. It seems most Americans are capable of seeing the need for mass voter roll cleanup, despite the media&rsquo;s best efforts.<\/p>\n<p>For example, the Harvard\/Harris March poll found 78 percent of respondents support removing noncitizens from the voter rolls as well. This includes 70 percent of Democrats and 88 percent of Republicans. Notably, nearly 60 percent of respondents &mdash; including 39 percent of Democrats &mdash; are in favor of requiring states &ldquo;to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >share unredacted voting rolls&#038;rdquo<\/a>; with the DHS.<\/p>\n<p>As previously mentioned, March&rsquo;s poll also revealed a majority of voters support a &ldquo;national law that all ballots in elections should be counted within 24 hours of election day&rdquo; (77 percent).
