Gerry Studds of Massachusetts, who targeted a 17-year-old boy.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was really angry [it had to end] because of the bad behavior,&rdquo; House page program alum Herb Harris said in 2019 at the 40-year reunion of the 1979 page class.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the program <a href=\"https:\/\/history.house.gov\/Exhibitions-and-Publications\/Page-History\/Historical-Essays\/End\/#:~:text=On%20August%208%2C%202011%2C%20the,Boehner%20and%20Leader%20Pelosi%20said.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ended<\/a> way back on Aug. 8, 2011. Then-House Speaker John Boehner and then-House Minority Leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-pelosi-fellow-dems-scramble-defend-fallout-swalwells-implosion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nancy Pelosi<\/a> made the joint announcement, citing costs and advances in technology. (Wink wink.)<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Santos did break news if his full statement has complete merit.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Remember why the U.S. House of Representatives no longer has the page program. And the House had already voted 311-114 to expel him from Congress.<\/p>\n<p>None of that makes Santos&rsquo; assertions about the House page program either true or untrue.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, considering the context of the Johnson-Santos interview, the assertion rings sadly true.<\/p>\n<p>For one thing, the Justice Department&rsquo;s December and January releases of files on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ghislaine-maxwell-now-accusing-prison-guard-of-abuse\/\" title=\"Ghislaine Maxwell Now Accusing Prison Guard Of Abuse\">deceased sex offender<\/a> and suspected sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein generated substantial public outrage and revealed that among the rich and powerful &mdash; some of them now <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/10-disgusting-details-from-the-andrew-cuomo-sexual-harassment-report\/\" title=\"10 Disgusting Details From the Andrew Cuomo Sexual Harassment ...ort\">widely suspected<\/a> of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hundreds-bizarre-references-pizza-new-epstein-documents-raise-eyebrows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sexually abusing children<\/a> &mdash; there exists a depth of depravity hitherto unfathomable.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Johnson and Santos spoke of the ongoing scandal surrounding disgraced former Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell of California.<\/p>\n<p>In recent days, multiple women have accused Swalwell of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/swalwell-accusers-warn-quitting-congress-wont-help-dodge-justice-just-beginning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">predatory sexual misconduct<\/a> and, in some cases, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-swalwells-campaign-paid-room-hotel-allegedly-raped-lonna-drewes-timeframe-address\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">violent rape<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, whether or not Santos told the truth about young teenagers &ldquo;literally assaulted&rdquo; by legislators, the claim, in light of all we know, sounds plausible.
