The investigation was triggered by President Donald Trump&rsquo;s February 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/02\/eradicating-anti-christian-bias\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;Eradicating Anti-Christian Bias&rdquo;<\/a> executive order and former Attorney General Pam Bondi&rsquo;s simultaneous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/ag\/media\/1388506\/dl?inline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;Restoring the Integrity and Credibility of the Department of Justice&rdquo;<\/a> memo.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/09\/4-in-5-americans-see-two-tiered-justice-system-poll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">majority of Americans admitted<\/a> during the Biden era that the nation was ruled by a two-tiered system of justice. This lopsided application of rule of law was only partially remedied when President Donald Trump&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/24\/trumps-pardon-of-pro-life-prisoners-alone-makes-the-movements-votes-for-him-worth-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pardoned<\/a>&nbsp;nearly two dozen of those targeted pro-lifers and the Trump DOJ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/media\/1386461\/dl\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">swore<\/a>&nbsp;it would only use the FACE Act in &ldquo;extraordinary circumstances, or in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-judiciary-committee-advances-repeal-of-the-face-act\/\" title=\"House Judiciary Committee Advances Repeal Of The ...\">cases presenting significant aggravating factors<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The real hammer came more than one year later, the day before the lawfare findings debuted, when the DOJ fired the &ldquo;personnel responsible for weaponizing the FACE Act.&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/doj-fires-4-prosecutors-face-act-biden-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CBS News<\/a> indicated at least one of the four prosecutors terminated was Sanjay Patel, who was <a href=\"https:\/\/judiciary.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/chairman-jordan-demands-special-counsel-weiss-and-biden-harris-doj-officials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">already suspected by congressional Republicans<\/a> of participating in the Biden administration&rsquo;s weaponization scheme.  <\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">DOJ has terminated the employment of personnel responsible for weaponizing the FACE Act who still remained at the department. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/qKpoh5uGsb\">https:\/\/t.co\/qKpoh5uGsb<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; DOJ Rapid Response (@DOJRR47) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DOJRR47\/status\/2043798785420116383?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 13, 2026<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>&ldquo;This Department will not tolerate a two-tiered system of justice,&rdquo; Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/justice-department-reveals-biden-administrations-weaponization-federal-law-against-pro-life\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said in a statement<\/a> accompanying the findings. &ldquo;No Department should conduct selective prosecution based on beliefs. The weaponization that happened under the Biden Administration will not happen again, as we restore integrity to our prosecutorial system.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2>Lawfare Like No Other<\/h2>\n<p>In the wake of the Supreme Court&rsquo;s leaked&nbsp;<em>Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em>&nbsp;decision, more than&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/catholicvote.org\/pregnancy-center-attack-tracker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">90<\/a>&nbsp;lifesaving pregnancy centers, pro-life organizations, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-face-act-was-always-a-tool-for-two-tiered-justice\/\" title=\"The ... Was Always A Tool For Two-Tiered ...\">churches suffered pro-abortion-fueled&#038;nbsp<\/a>;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/12\/feds-suddenly-remember-to-decry-threats-of-violence-after-ignoring-violent-dobbs-backlash\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">firebombings, vandalism, and other<\/a>&nbsp;attacks. The Biden administration, however, aimed its prosecution power almost solely on people who were documented advocating for the protection of unborn babies at abortion facilities. This &ldquo;biased enforcement&rdquo; of the FACE Act, the report indicates, blatantly violated Americans&rsquo; rights. <\/p>\n<p>The report notes that the heart of this FACE Act weaponization came from &ldquo;career attorneys,&rdquo; like Patel, in the DOJ&rsquo;s Civil Rights Division who were named to Attorney General Merrick Garland&rsquo;s &ldquo;National Task Force on Violence Against Reproductive Health Care Providers.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the most damning revelation in the findings is that it was at abortion activists&rsquo; suggestion that this task force used the FACE Act to target the pro-lifers that later had to be pardoned by Trump. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In each of the later-pardoned FACE Act cases, DOJ and the FBI learned of the possible FACE violations from abortion NGOs, rather than from the purported victims or local law enforcement,&rdquo; the report states. <\/p>\n<p>The task force director, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/video\/justice-department-announces-reproductive-rights-task-force\">Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta<\/a>, Patel, and National Abortion Federation (NAF) Security Director Michelle Davidson were described as maintaining &ldquo;routine communication.&rdquo; In emails, Patel describes Davidson&rsquo; as a &ldquo;wonderful contact for me as it relates to FACE Act investigations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;She has been an MVP bringing incidents to my attention, often in real-time, which usually result in an investigation\/prosecution,&rdquo; Patel wrote in November 2021. <\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>By the time the <em>Dobbs v. Jackson<\/em> decision debuted, which <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/08\/bidens-abortion-order-undermines-scotus-and-democracy-by-seizing-power-from-voters-and-giving-it-to-feds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Biden and his team sought to undermine<\/a>, Patel and the task force had relied heavily on the NAF and other abortion group&rsquo;s surveillance and dossiers of pro-lifers&rsquo; First Amendment-protected protests across the country to fuel their FACE Act prosecutions for years. <\/p>\n<p>Emails indicate, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/realDailyWire\/status\/1970603237125558731?s=20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">against the NAF&rsquo;s congressional testimony<\/a>, that NAF employees such as Davidson directly fed Patel and other DOJ attorneys information to help the Biden administration build its case against people like Progressive Anti-Abortion Uprising&nbsp;member Lauren Handy, a pro-life activist who received 57 months in prison and three years supervision,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/23\/pro-lifers-could-face-11-years-in-prison-for-trying-to-protect-innocents-from-harm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">an extreme expansion of the usual punishment for such convictions<\/a>,&nbsp;for her participation in a peaceful protest at one of Washington DC&rsquo;s most controversial abortion facilities.<\/p>\n<p>The DOJ also leaned into demands from abortion organizations such as the Feminist Majority Foundation, which listed off several &ldquo;relentless acts of violence&rdquo; to urge the DOJ to pursue &ldquo;criminal charges and nationwide injunctive relief to prevent ongoing and future [FACE Act] violations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2>Malfeasance Abounds<\/h2>\n<p>The DOJ&rsquo;s misconduct did not stop once the charges rolled in. According to investigators, Biden-era prosecutors not only &ldquo;knowingly withheld&rdquo; evidence from defendants&rsquo; legal teams, but also &ldquo;falsely claimed to not have such information available.&rdquo; In the DOJ&rsquo;s case against pro-lifer Calvin Zastrow, prosecutors actively schemed to keep Christians off off the jury and private referred to people of faith as &ldquo;culty.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>Previously disclosed in reporting was the DOJ&rsquo;s use of &ldquo;Aggressive Arrest Tactics,&rdquo; including <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/04\/with-new-documents-the-biden-administrations-targeting-of-a-pro-life-dad-just-got-crazier\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">loaded guns, battering rams, and ballistic shields&nbsp;<\/a>during the raid on the home of father Mark Houck.<\/p>\n<p>Data showing that the Biden administration <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/christopher-wray-says-fbi-does-not-target-peaceful-pro-lifers-the-stats-prove-otherwise\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">disproportionately focused<\/a> its FACE Act prosecutions on pro-lifers who <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/19\/yes-bidens-department-of-justice-wants-to-imprison-peaceful-pro-lifers-for-praying\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prayed, sang, and evangelized<\/a>&nbsp;at abortion facilities. The findings additionally emphasized that the DOJ under Biden requested and ultimately secured longer sentences for pro-lifers, an average of 26.8 months and 14 months respectively, than pro-abortion defendants, who averaged 12.3 months and 3 months respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The cherry on top of the DOJ&rsquo;s FACE Act lawfare campaign was Patel&rsquo;s repeat offer to serve as a reference for NAF&rsquo;s push to secure &ldquo;large&rdquo; grant funding. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We found no record of ethics approval for a DOJ attorney to take an interest in the financial<br \/>outcome of a party having business before the Biden DOJ.
