He also led the Iranian government&rsquo;s suppression of its citizens, including during the recent protests against the government.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Major General Khademi has recorded significant, enduring, and instructive contributions over nearly half a century of sincere and courageous guardianship of the Revolution, the system, and the Islamic homeland in the fields of intelligence and security,&rdquo; read a note about his death from <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tasnimnews.ir\/en\/news\/2026\/04\/06\/3558299\/irgc-intelligence-chief-martyred\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tasnim News Agency<\/a>, a media organization linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The news agency <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tasnimnews.ir\/en\/news\/2026\/04\/06\/3558299\/irgc-intelligence-chief-martyred\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> that Khademi was the victim of &ldquo;a terrorist attack by the American-Zionist enemy&rdquo; and was &ldquo;martyred&rdquo; on Monday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In separate strikes conducted on Sunday, the IDF announced they had killed Kamil Melhem, the artillery chief for the Imam Hossein Division, a Hezbollah-linked Iranian militia, in Lebanon, the <em>Times of Israel<\/em> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/liveblog_entry\/idf-says-senior-iranian-militia-commander-killed-in-lebanon-strike\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.
