he said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said the U.S. was not dealing with Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, who was named to the top leadership spot after his father was killed in the opening round of the war.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We have not heard from the son. Every once in a while you&rsquo;ll see a statement made &ndash; but we don&rsquo;t know if he&rsquo;s living,&rdquo; Trump said.<\/p>\n<p>Trump said that amid the talks, the&nbsp;Strait of Hormuz could be &ldquo;open very soon,&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/world\/middle-east\/live-blog\/live-updates-iran-war-trump-hormuz-deadline-energy-crisis-gulf-power-rcna264685\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"feedBody\">Trump said the strait would be &ldquo;jointly controlled.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p class=\"feedBody\">When asked who would oversee the vital waterway, he replied, &ldquo;Maybe me &mdash; me and the ayatollah, whoever the ayatollah is, whoever the next Ayatollah.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p class=\"feedBody\">Trump predicted &ldquo;a very serious form of a regime change&rdquo; in Iran.<\/p>\n<p class=\"feedBody\">&ldquo;There&rsquo;s automatically a regime change, but we&rsquo;re dealing with some people that I find to be very reasonable, very solid,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;The people within know who they are.
