The complaint alleges Harvard permitted harassment, intimidation, and exclusion of Jewish and Israeli students, while applying campus rules unevenly and failing to discipline protesters who occupied buildings and disrupted activities. DOJ notes that Harvard\u2019s own <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >presidential task force found evidence<\/a> of the exclusion of Israeli or Zionist students from social spaces and activities, but the university did not take adequate corrective action.The department is seeking an order to bring Harvard into Title VI compliance and to recover federal funds tied to grants Harvard receives, wiht the university reportedly obtaining more than $2.6 billion in active grants from HHS alone. (Joseph Prezioso\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The complaint claims Harvard tolerated harassment, intimidation, and exclusion targeting Jewish and Israeli students while selectively enforcing campus rules and failing to discipline protesters who occupied buildings and disrupted campus life meaningfully. The DOJ said Harvard&rsquo;s own presidential task force <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harvard.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/04\/FINAL-Harvard-ASAIB-Report-4.29.25.pdf\">found evidence of<\/a> &ldquo;the exclusion of Israeli or Zionist students from social spaces and extracurricular activities,&rdquo; but that the university still failed to take adequate corrective action.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Since <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/october-7\/\" type=\"post_tag\" id=\"11590\">October 7th, 2023<\/a>, too many of our educational institutions have allowed anti-Semitism to flourish on campus &mdash; Harvard included,&rdquo; Attorney General <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/robert-f-kennedy-jr\/\">Pam Bondi<\/a> said in a statement announcing the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Attorney General <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/robert-f-kennedy-jr\/\">Harmeet Dhillon<\/a> said the department would not tolerate the &ldquo;harassment, assault, or intimidation of Jewish and Israeli students,&rdquo; while Department of Health and Human Services  Secretary <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/robert-f-kennedy-jr\/\">Robert F.
