(VIDEO)\">slow motion<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kangaroos-hop-onto-race-course-causing-chaos-bicyclists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bicyclists<\/a> were taken to different hospitals.<\/p>\n<p>One, taken to Mount Sinai Morningside, was pronounced dead at the hospital. The other, taken to Harlem Hospital, was still in critical condition as of shortly after midnight.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He knocked him out of his shoe,&rdquo; another eyewitness said. &ldquo;It was so unreal. We looked up and watched him flying.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The eyewitnesses, interviewed by an independent journalist, said they had just crossed the street before the incident occurred.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Just how unbelievable God is to us, because we were out of the way, we could have been gone, we could have been a casualty like this,&rdquo; one of the eyewitnesses said. &ldquo;That&rsquo;s what we were feeling.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We started praying, because this was catastrophic,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Neither of the victims, nor the 49-year-old driver of the Tucson, have been identified yet. Three other men &mdash; 23, 28, and 40, respectively &mdash; were also taken to hospitals after being injured in cars struck by the driver.<\/p>\n<p>All were in stable condition.<\/p>\n<p>The driver was, according to eyewitnesses, going far too fast for conditions and lost control of the vehicle when he left the lane he was driving in.<\/p>\n<p>Another witness said that he thought the driver may have been under the influence at the time of the crash.
