It notes Grenell, a longtime Trump loyalist brought in to reform the Center, announced he’d step down after about a year and a half. The Times’ take is portrayed as emphasizing a fall from political prominence, using a headline like “A Hard-Knock Life: A Trump Cabinet Hopeful Is Moved Offstage,” and framing Grenell’s exit as a contrast to his earlier high-profile roles. The article includes excerpts from the Times piece and highlights a text-message exchange between Grenell and Times reporter Elizabeth Williamson, depicting Grenell as confrontational and accusing Williamson of left-leaning bias. The author argues that the piece reveals a predetermined, left-leaning narrative and critiques the legacy media while suggesting the public is increasingly skeptical of such coverage. It also points to the viral spread of Grenell’s messages as evidence of a broader demand for media accountability and transparency.

You’ve gotta hand it to The New York Times: At least they don’t make any bones about how fungible their journalistic integrity is.

On Monday, Richard Grenell helmed his last meeting as the head of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. A longtime Donald Trump loyalist who was brought in to reform the D.C. institution, Grenell announced last week that he was leaving the position after a year and change.

How you felt about the departure is a matter of whether you thought Grenell was sufficiently conservative for the gig.
