He said on Fox News\u2019s special Report that the mission has been a smashing success for the United States and Israel, despite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-thanks-wapo-for-correcting-latest-media-travesty-blasts-legacy-media-for-acting-like-political-entities\/\" title=\"... Benson notes that, following the february 26 strikes, Iran\u2019s navy and missile defenses were described as destroyed and even claims that Iran\u2019s leadership-including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei-was affected or killed, leaving the regime \u201cabsolutely obliterated\u201d and its capacity to respond greatly diminished. He concedes there is ongoing negativity in coverage and real challenges,including American casualties and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >oil-price concerns<\/a>,but argues the bigger picture shows an remarkable historic success so far. top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 0px;\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Since the United States and Israel <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/world\/4475344\/iran-preemptive-strikes-israel-us\/\">launched joint missile strikes<\/a> against Iran on Feb. 26, President <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\">Donald Trump<\/a> said Iran&rsquo;s navy and missile defenses have been destroyed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Iran&rsquo;s leadership was also severely affected, with Ayatollah <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Ali-Khamenei\/\">Ali Khamenei<\/a> and others being killed in the airstrikes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Benson said the Iranian regime has been &ldquo;absolutely obliterated,&rdquo; listing the leadership as being &ldquo;decapitated&rdquo; and their capacity to respond &ldquo;massively diminished.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Despite these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/former-u-s-military-officials-experts-blast-bidens-response-after-u-s-troops-murdered-not-impressed-at-all\/\" title=\"Former U.S. military officials and experts criticize Biden&#039;s response to the murder of U.S. troops, unimpressed\">successful military operations<\/a>, Benson said there is still &ldquo;negativity.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There has been this drumbeat of negativity in the coverage that I think is distorting the picture,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;Yes, there are big challenges. Yes, we just had the tragic loss of life of more Americans.
