And that&rsquo;s absolutely gummed up the works in airports across the US.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.khou.com\/article\/news\/local\/houston-hobby-tsa-wait-times\/285-a26e3304-7b8d-43c4-ac87-7c274905656e\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KHOU-TV<\/a> reported that at Houston&rsquo;s Hobby Airport &ldquo;travelers waited at least four hours Sunday evening to get through TSA screening lines.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>By Monday morning, that wait time had been whittled all the way down to&hellip; two hours.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wwltv.com\/article\/news\/local\/travelers-experiencing-long-lines-at-tsa-checkpoint-at-new-orleans-international-tsa-government-shutdown-travel\/289-7b812cb3-7f02-41fd-8717-69dc61b25952\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WWL-TV<\/a>, Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport is dealing with wait times of up to two hours due to TSA shortages as well.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.atlantanewsfirst.com\/2026\/03\/09\/atlantas-airport-faces-fluctuating-long-wait-times-amid-partial-shutdown-ground-stop-issues\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WANF-TV<\/a> reported that travelers expecting to traverse Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport should arrive three whole hours early to their flight.<\/p>\n<p>The White House collected a number of telling quotes from travelers as it <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/articles\/2026\/03\/democrats-reckless-dhs-shutdown-hits-americans-hard-as-100000-workers-go-without-pay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">blasted<\/a> the left and proclaimed &ldquo;Radical Left Democrats must stop playing politics with our homeland security.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;s been a lot of frustration,&rdquo; one traveler said. &ldquo;A lot of people are very upset.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is ridiculous,&rdquo; another exasperated traveler remarked. &ldquo;This is crazy. We get here, we go through Customs &mdash; and it&rsquo;s so packed in here, you can&rsquo;t even find the direction they&rsquo;re trying to give.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It&nbsp;<em>is&nbsp;<\/em>ridiculous &mdash; but it&rsquo;s actually pretty simple: Democrats are prioritizing illegal aliens over American citizens once again. Americans have paid the price for this in a number of ways over the years, and this current TSA situation is just one more example.<\/p>\n<p>While lawmakers argue about weakening ICE to appease illegal aliens, ordinary travelers are the ones stuck in mile-long security lines at the airports they paid for with their own tax dollars.<\/p>\n<p>The irony is impossible to miss.<\/p>\n<p>The same politicians who insist the federal government must manage every corner of American life suddenly can&rsquo;t keep airport security functioning during one of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/over-a-thousand-u-s-flights-canceled-monday\/\" title=\"Over a Thousand U.S. Flights Canceled Monday\">busiest travel periods<\/a> of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The partial DHS shutdown has left key operations stretched thin, and the ripple effects are being felt immediately by families trying to get through security checkpoints run by the TSA.<\/p>\n<p>What makes the situation even more frustrating is that the crisis is entirely self-inflicted.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats are digging in on sweeping changes to immigration enforcement rather than passing the funding needed to keep <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >core security agencies running smoothly<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Americans who simply want to board a flight shouldn&rsquo;t have to become collateral damage in a political fight over weakening border enforcement.<\/p>\n<p>And that&rsquo;s the broader problem here.
