Mexico, too, has <a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/energy-and-environment\/4449531\/mexico-faces-weighty-decision-trump-ultimatum-shipping-oil-cuba\/\">halted its oil shipments<\/a> to the island, deepening an energy crisis in the Caribbean country after the United States threatened to hit Cuba&rsquo;s trade partners with tariffs.<\/p>\n<p>Trump affirmed on Friday that the Cuban government is in talks with his administration and that the floated &ldquo;friendly takeover&rdquo; could be &ldquo;very positive&rdquo; for the Cuban people.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We could very well end up having a friendly takeover of Cuba,&rdquo; Trump said. &ldquo;We&rsquo;ve had a lot of years of dealing with Cuba.
