After defending Clinton, Rep. Let&rsquo;s release the files.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Democrats are also hoping to go after Trump administration officials with past relationships to Epstein, mainly Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he would be willing to ask Lutnick to testify, &ldquo;in the spirit of bipartisanship,&rdquo; Rep. James Comer (R-KY) expressed openness.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s very possible, and I think there, I think it&rsquo;s a good possibility that his name will arise in some questioning today, we&rsquo;re asking again, and I want to remind everyone we&rsquo;ve already brought in Alex Acosta and Bill Barr for deposition,&rdquo; Comer said. &ldquo;That&rsquo;s two Republicans in the Trump administration. So this isn&rsquo;t just about Democrats.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/4458772\/comer-lutnick-epstein-testimony-robert-garcia\/\" type=\"post\" id=\"4458772\">&lsquo;NO RESPONSE&rsquo; FROM COMER ON LUTNICK SUBPOENA OVER EPSTEIN TIES, HOUSE DEMOCRAT SAYS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trump and Epstein were widely documented as friends before his first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-records-show-how-jeffrey-epstein-spent-his-final-days-in-jail\/\" title=\"New Records Show How ... Spent His Final Days In Jail\">sex offense conviction<\/a>, with the two falling out in the early 2000s. No connections between the two have been found after Epstein&rsquo;s first arrest.
