If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>    <iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"rumble\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/embed\/v7421zs\/?pub=88gnf\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>    <\/p>\n<p>It appears not a single Democrat stood up. <\/p>\n<p>White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/StephenM\/status\/2026496327744360856?s=20\">post<\/a> on X, &ldquo;The immortal visual of the entire Democrat party &mdash; upon explicit repeated invitation &mdash; refusing to stand for the core moral principle that US government owes its allegiance to US citizens and not foreign criminal invaders, is the most shocking image in the history of the US Congress.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Of course such utter disdain for the American people is unsurprising, given Democrats have consistently fought tooth and nail on behalf of illegal aliens and foreigners. Maryland Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/senate\/5338169-van-hollen-abrego-garcia-due-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Chris Van Hollen<\/a>, for example, flew to El Salvador to try and obtain the release of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/04\/15\/the-maryland-man-hoax-is-designed-to-criminalize-immigration-enforcement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Kilmar Abrego Garcia<\/a>, an illegal alien with deportation orders. Abrego Garcia is allegedly a member of MS-13 and a domestic abuser.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.ca.gov\/2026\/02\/20\/governor-newsom-launches-new-state-investment-and-philanthropic-collaboration-to-continue-supporting-families-under-federal-assault\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Democrats<\/a> in California &mdash; under Gov. Gavin Newsom&rsquo;s leadership &mdash; allocated $35 million in taxpayer dollars for illegal aliens facing deportations and $15 million to &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >fully fund 33 removal defense organizations<\/a> over the next two years.&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/virginiamercury.com\/2026\/01\/26\/in-newly-democratic-virginia-immigration-enforcement-becomes-early-test-for-spanberger\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Other<\/a> Democrat-led <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cpr.org\/2026\/02\/11\/state-democrat-immigration-health-bills-counter-federal-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">states<\/a> have introduced legislation <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/immigration-ice-trump-287g-72929a61953c3da5ed5d49cab2dcc611\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ending cooperation<\/a> with immigration enforcement, instead choosing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/first-bus-of-illegals-from-texas-arrives-in-sanctuary-city-nyc\/\" title=\"First Bus of Illegals From Texas Arrives in Sanctuary City NYC\">shield illegal aliens<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly after Trump took office, 156 House Democrats <a href=\"https:\/\/clerk.house.gov\/Votes\/202523\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">voted against<\/a> the Laken Riley Act, legislation that honors Riley, who was brutally murdered by an illegal alien. The legislation in part <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/119th-congress\/senate-bill\/5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">requires<\/a> federal authorities to detain illegal aliens charged with crimes like theft, burglary, larceny, and shoplifting.<\/p>\n<p>In November Democrat Rep. Mike Quigley <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/10\/01\/lets-track-every-lie-dems-and-media-invented-to-demonize-immigration-agents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">posted a video<\/a> and asserted that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-admitting-migrants-without-id-may-increase-security-risks\/\" title=\"Report: Admitting Migrants Without ID May Increase &#039;Security Risks&#039;\">immigration officers &#038;ldquo<\/a>;took a preschool teacher without a warrant IN FRONT OF CHILDREN in my district.&rdquo; Rep. Delia Ramirez used the incident as an opportunity to call for defunding ICE.<\/p>\n<p>The woman seen in the video, however, was an illegal alien who allegedly fled law enforcement and, along with another individual, &ldquo;ran into a daycare and attempted to barricade themselves inside the daycare &mdash; recklessly endangering the children inside.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But that&rsquo;s just the type of person Democrats are eager to defend.  <\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Brianna Lyman is an elections correspondent at The Federalist.
