Law enforcement say the ambulance was stolen from St. Luke\u2019s Meridian Medical Center around 11:10 p.m., and about an hour and a half later the driver allegedly drove into the DHS-leased office at the hospital complex and tried to ignite the vehicle with an accelerant before fleeing. A five-day, cross-agency investigation by the Meridian Police Department, the ATF, and the FBI led to George\u2019s identification and arrest after a search of her residence. Shortly thereafter, at approximately 12:30 a.m., the suspect reportedly <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/4464704\/ambulance-stolen-driven-into-department-homeland-security-office-idaho\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">drove the ambulance into the office building that DHS is leasing<\/a> from the hospital, and then tried to light the ambulance on fire by pouring &ldquo;gasoline or another accelerant&rdquo; before fleeing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Before today&rsquo;s update by Basterrechea, the identity and status of the investigation were unknown.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Basterrechea said the combination of local and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/propaganda-press-glosses-over-attack-on-ice-agent\/\" title=\"Propaganda Press Glosses Over Attack On ICE Agent\">federal law enforcement officers &#038;ldquo<\/a>;did an amazing job over the last five days working long hours, working diligently to positively identify Ms. George and bring her into custody.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Really, it was good, old<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/suspected-serial-killer-of-six-arrested-in-california-police-say\/\" title=\"Suspected Serial Killer Of Six ...ed In California, Police Say\">-fashioned police work<\/a> that got us to where we are at tonight,&rdquo; he added. &ldquo;These investigators literally went door to door, looking for possible camera footage, possible witnesses, and other information and evidence&hellip;&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This, coupled with their knowledge of technology, helped to identify George as our suspect,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>George is currently charged with &ldquo;attempted destruction of federal property by fire&rdquo; and &ldquo;malicious <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.idahostatesman.com\/news\/local\/crime\/article314813808.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">destruction<\/a> of property used in or affecting interstate commerce by fire,&rdquo; said Basterrechea.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/4464704\/ambulance-stolen-driven-into-department-homeland-security-office-idaho\/\"><strong>AMBULANCE STOLEN AND DRIVEN INTO DHS OFFICE IN IDAHO<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;However, there is more than likely going to be other charges forthcoming as this investigation is far from finished,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Both current charges carry a penalty of 5 to 20 years in prison, a fine, or both, Basterrechea <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.idahopress.com\/news\/boise-woman-arrested-after-five-day-search-following-ambulance-crash\/article_083f1edf-ed45-4cc8-b925-ea9f1b3cb418.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that there would not be any speculation revealed about the motive, but emphasized that &ldquo;this type of criminal behavior will not be tolerated in Meridian.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This conduct is unacceptable,&rdquo;
